Dairy Queen

This is our local community Dairy Queen, which has apparently been here for a while. The styling of the decor inside of the restaurant is a bit dated, but the service and food is good, and they have a drive-thru. Unfortunately there's a big dip at the pickup window, where the asphalt has settled from cars stopping there, and it feels like your car is stuck in a hole when you try to pull away. Instead of just gently rolling away, you have to give your vehicle throttle to get out of the dip, and hope nobody is quickly coming out of the entrance located right there! And a tip about ordering, ask for your french fries to be extra crispy, or else you'll have french fries which taste undercooked.

Yesterday, I was in line to purchase some ice cream for my girlfriend, and her niece and nephew. My girlfriend was still in the bathroom at the time. I ordered something for her while she was in the bathroom. This was due to the fact that there was a large amount of people behind me. My girlfriend came out as the sale was being completed, and decided to order something different. She told me what to order for her. I'm not happy with the dirty look I had for that. By the way the dirty-looking was from the Dairy-Queen-Employee. Young, very young, short black hair. You know if I did this to a woman, I'd be labeled as a Misogynist. Equality is a two-way street!

Pretty busy night at the DQ. We went inside planning to play the crane machine and sit and eat our ice cream but there were 9 people in line so we played the game and then went in the drive thru. We were the only ones in the line and had to wait 5 minutes to order and another 5 to get our order which was a kids cup and fries. The fries are fresh and so good and my kid was behaving so I didn't mind the wait. But just a heads up if you are thinking you will swing by really quick. Make sure you have time to wait. Also why is it always so dark inside???? Half the lights are always out in the seating area. Every time we go.

Monday March 21st 2022 Their emails and advertising state that free cone day is ALL DAY. I called several times before driving the entire family to this location but nobody would answer the phone. We show up around 2pm but they aren't doing free cones until 5:30-9:30. They also weren't sure if that was specific to just their location or if it applied to other locations.👎🏻🤦🏼‍♀️😒 We came back around 8pm for our free cones. Yay! They were offering vanilla, chocolate, or swirl. Score.

As someone who’s never had breakfast at Dairy Queen before, I was looking forward to a quick meal along the same lines of quality as their other offerings. I was sorely disappointed when I opened the bag and discovered the bacon to be undercooked, flavorless and limp and the pancakes rubbery and burnt. No amount of butter and syrup can cover the taste of burnt chewy pancakes - God knows I tried to salvage the meal! I ended up having to throw away the food and stop somewhere else for my breakfast. I can’t say whether or not this careless service is indicative of their day to day operation, but you might should have a back up plan just in case. Hope you have better luck than I did!
