The Wardhurst Restaurant

I went here based on the great reviews I have seen online and from friends. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. No issues there. There were 3 of us. We ordered a sampler as an appetizer - the cheese sticks were wonderful; crunchy outside,gooey inside. The steak and cheese rolls were kind of bland but the steak was nice and tender.I did not like the potato skins at all - they were dry and somewhat flavorless. The chicken wings ,I was told were a bit spicy(barbeque flavor) but okay. The bread rolls were very tasty and fresh and one person in our party needed a 2nd bowl of seasoned oil for dipping - she loved it so much.The fish and chips were very fresh and the onion rings tasty and not greasy at all.I had spinach pie that I thought was wonderful and butternut squash which was delicious. The cheeseburger was cooked as asked- medium well and juicy. Overall, the portions were large and we had 3 boxes of leftovers for loved ones at home.

Disappointed. We came by on a Tuesday night at 5:05 but found out that the fried chicken had already been sold out for the evening. After hearing so much about the fried chicken online and from every single old person on the north shore, I had to try it. I settled for the prime rib, which was perfect and delicious. Helpful wait staff and pleasant atmosphere, ample parking and a nice time was had by all .

Really friendly staff, sat at the bar on Saturday afternoon/evening. Very clean bar area. Ordered a fried chicken sandwich that was really good. Ordered chicken parm sandwich that needed more sauce, but tasted great. French fries were a little well done for me. Portions are good. Drinks were good too, beer is a lil pricy. Bar area was very warm at times. Only disappointing observation was the ceiling vents look really dirty.

Great fried chicken!! And to my surprise fresh beets was one of the side veggies. Not many people that I know of like beets, but I love them. Our waitress was amazing, attentive, funny and kind. She kept apologizing for the delay in our meals because the chicken takes a little longer. We didn't mind and were not complaining. I saw a salad go by amd suddenly wanted a side salad, she gave it me at no charge because of the wait. Great place.
