Tiny Pasadena storefront, serving spectacular chicken sandwiches and fries! They have a wide selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. The chicken sandwich was seasoned perfectly, was moist and juicy, and cooked to perfection. The fries were crispy and perfectly salted, and they have a great selection of salads as well. I would definitely come back here.

Great food, my experience at Daddy’s Chicken Shack was excellent. I ordered a Big Daddy Sandwich for $13 plus $5 for an extra chicken patty on the sandwich I think, sweet potato fries, and a side of blue cheese, a side of sour cream, and a side of ranch. I also ordered this great tasting grape soda, it was sweet so, I’d say it’s a sharing half and half soda. The chicken is buttermilk chicken, so it was moist and tasty. It was deep fried but didn’t give me heartburn or indigestion, it was great with the Napa slaw in the sandwich and matching tasting great bun. The sweet potato fries were deep fried butt not too greasy, and have a good flavor to the sweet potato. All of the ingredients this restaurant used were really good quality. The service every time I go here, a lot of times, has always been great, they must do some kind of little Customer Seevice talk strategy amongst the Staff. The food sometimes might take a while to prepare because it’s kind of detailed.

Insanely good popcorn chicken and chicken sandwich! The chicken is so crispy and fresh. I’ve been hunting through LA for the best fried chicken, so far this is the best I’ve had. Makes some of the popular places seem just “ok”.
Service is very friendly and quick for the quality of the food. A great hole in the wall with outdoor seating and a small storefront for ordering (hence the name, as close to a shack without being one). Sauces taste home made, honey mustard and ranch were perfect.

Fried-chicken focused restaurant with sandwiches, tenders, and wings. There are vegan options as well as salad/bowl options for the more health-conscious. They’re currently operating during covid, and you can place an order online for pickup or get delivery with the usual suspects. There’s an ordering kiosk in the restaurant as well. Our food was ready later than estimated, but not by much. Paid street parking is available (paid even on Sundays) and it’s located right across a park if you wanted to picnic. Service was okay, if a bit abrupt.
I wish there was more flavor to all the food, although the quality of the chicken was up there.
The bread for both sandwiches (Big Daddy and Spicy Daddy) was very soft. There’s a good amount of sauce, although you can opt to add more sauces for 50 cents each. Both sandwiches were a bit bland, and the spicy daddy only had a little heat. The Nashville tenders also weren’t as flavorful as we hoped. The fries were the best part of the meal. The portion size was decent, and price-wise, this place is on the higher end.

The Waffle Daddy was a good eat but it felt like it needed an extra something to tip the scale making it amazing.
The chicken itself is the same across the menu and the funnel waffle was soft with a good flavor.
The Sando, I was expecting it to be better but it did not meet my taste buds expectations. Overall still a pleasant morning eat which was not a heavy meal.

COVID REVIEW:
Place adheres to covid protocols and even has a self checkouts counter for ordering. Dining is at the side but may be a problem if it rains since there is no roof.
Food was decent and tasty and I would say has a large serving. I’ll probably come back to try some of their menu items.
