Had an amazing tour with Capt David. Friendly, informative and professional. Boys had a great time holding a baby gator and feeding the bigger ones. Got some gator tail at the restaurant and the food and staff were excellent. Will def do this again.

Cool little spot to stop and check out. You can hop on an airboat and go check out the wetlands and the alligators. We had great margaritas, and they were 2 for 1. It's worth the stop for the atmosphere and cocktail. We are mahi tacos and gator tacos. The Mahi was good, the gator a little tough.

Id give it more stars if I could, most laid back environment. Great service, and cool place to go to. They got two bars, and plenty of outside room. Airboat rides, and corn hole. You can feed the gators and let's not forget Mike the parrot and his friends

Now that was an AWESOME experience!!! Air boat ride to see alligators and wildlife and the scenery in an all natural habitat. Then pictures holding young alligators and then a rustic dining area to enjoy food of all types. Great flavor and the service was better than fantastic. Definitely a place to visit and support. What a great time with my kids and grandkids !!!

I've lived in Oviedo for about five years now, and I haven't been able to make it out to the Black Hammock. After I heard that it recovered from Hurricane Ian, I thought to myself that I had to come out here and check it out and give this small business my support. Driving out to the place is fun. Small-ish, back roads that wind you through old Florida Americana. Then you make that final turn that aims you right at Lake Jessup and the compound starts to appear. Many buildings and fixtures with dining rooms and bars and animal exhibits. You'll have plenty to look at while you're here. We got inside and got seated promptly. The service team was dreadfully understaffed. But I'm not gonna knock them for that, because the dude we did have really was trying his best. He gave me his effort, and I appreciate that. We weren't terribly hungry, so we decided to identify the three best sounding apps and to split everything. We started out with the Frog Legs (Plump frog legs served fried with tartar sauce). Very well fried! Crispy crispy, and lots of good meat within. Not too oily or anything. I question the decision to serve it with tartar, though. Big fan. Could have used more seasoning in the batter. Then we moved onto the Corn Fritters (Sweet corn in pancake batter fried and dusted with powdered sugar). These were nice! Same, good fry. These people know how to fry things. Little corn kernels within the fritter, always fun. Juuust sweet enough. Could have used a small cup of dipping syrup, though. And finally, the grand finale, the Gatorlicious (Our famous delicacy, locally harvested and served your way with Honey Mustard). AKA, fried gator bites. We got 1/4 of a pound. Did not come with the promised honey mustard. It came with tartar. Not cool. But the fry was good. The meat was cut way too small, though. The batter-to-meat ratio was way off. I've lived in Florida my entire life. I've eaten some gator bites before. These need some help. Overall, I feel like this review sounds harsh. Sorry. It really was a good time being here. The sunset out on the back porch was literally 25% of why I stay living in Florida. I know they're probably going through some stuff after the Ian devastation, but I hope they solve their issues, because this place has massive potential.

You order using a QRCode and never sure if your order is processed. The food is ok. Peel and Eat Shrimp is my favorite there! Drinks and bartenders are great and atmosphere is amazing! Always fun to see the little alegators!

Everything about this place was an incredible experience. We went just to try the gator bites, loved them (Florida style) and the spinach dip + corn fritters. We ordered the gator Po'boys sandwiches, and finished the experience with the most incredible plate of key lime pie I've ever had. Satisfied the sweet tooth and the crisp bite of lime the way a sweet margarita might. (I wanted the margaritas deal "2-4-1" but I'm currently 30wks pregnant). The staff was super friendly, fast, and understanding of my toddler who accidentally spilled a glass of amazing sweet tea while trying to chug it. (Because it really is that good) Anyway, I definitely recommend this restaurant. I wish we would have had time to take the boats tour, unfortunately it was reaching toddler bedtime by the time we finished our food.

Popular fish camp hidden away in a quiet residential neighborhood off Lake Jesup near Oviedo. Restaurant is located towards the back of the lakefront property (you'll pass it first on the left when entering the parking area.) There is also several bars, gift shops, bird cages full of parrots, and airboat rides, among other offerings.) Traditional fish camp menu, including gator! Excellent key lime pie.

Been here many times. The atmosphere can change depending on the weather. Great food…the gator tacos are amazing, but a little lack on amount. After dinner, take a walk to the end of the property to the water edge; catch a site of local fowl and the gators, but don’t venture to close as the waters can surprise you! Take in an airboat ride and then come back for a cold beer!
