Il Pescatore

Great Italian food at a great price. The place is very welcoming and has a warm atmosphere. This restaurant was a happy find for my wife and I while visiting Orlando. Without the razzle dazzle of many other places in Orlando, Il Pescatore delivers delicious food. Try the Chicken di Stefano or the sampler. You won't be disappointed!!

Il Pescatore is a "Mom and Pop" style restaurant that serves a variety of Italian cuisine and homestyle comfort food. Its staff is friendly and accommodating and quick to address customer requests, questions or concerns. Ava, our server, ensured our food was cooked to order and promptly delivered. During our meal, there were several diners who appeared to be regular customers of the restaurant which a good sign where the locals eat.

This restaurant is like a not-very-well-hidden secret because everyone in the neighborhood seems to know about it and adore it. The food and atmosphere has an authentic feel and great taste, and the staff all make you feel like part of the family. It also has a superb wine collection that's not overly priced.

My first time here. I LOVE IT! The service was excellent. The salad was fresh and cold, which I love. I was shocked at how quick the entrees came out; I wasn't done with the salad. But it was piping hot and sssooo delicious. I ordered the Gamberi Portofino. The 3 other people at the table loved their dishes, as well. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

Excellent food! The Bolognese is the best I've had in many years. The atmosphere is casual and friendly and the restaurant creates a welcome space for all. Will definitely return. We went there for my son's 26th birthday and he raved about it. We brought in balloons and a cake, which the staff was more than happy to serve to us.

24 Jun 2023. 8:30pm First time visitor to this wonderful, family-owned restaurant. We discovered it simply passing by. We always prefer family-owned restaurants over franchises/chains. The restaurant is very quaint. Reminded me of the cozy Italian restaurants I used to visit when growing up in Queens and Brooklyn in the 70s and 80s. We ordered the Stuffed Eggplant and Chicken Marsala, came with dinner side salads and garlic bread. The food was as good as the pictures look... And the pictures look VERY GOOD 🤣 We always try some of the sauces by themselves before anything else. That's our litmus test for good Italian food. If the sauce isnt great, the rest of the meal won't be either. The red sauce was not overly salty and was nit too sweet. Had a good tomato flavor and was slightly on the acidic side ✅ The Marsala sauce was not overly salty, had a rich darker color and strong wine flavor ✅ and, the mushrooms were visible and sizable. Nothing worse than advertising that a dish contains mushrooms and then finding lots of little l, hard to see bits and pieces. See the pics. You get MUSHROOMS here. Our server was great.... He was friendly, attentive and prompt. The only suggestion I have is to ensure the Stuffed Eggplant is hot in the middle of the layers. The top and bottom were hot, presumable from the oven heat. But the center was room temp. I didn't want to complain, because I was hungry and I didn't want to wait before I could dig in 😏... a simple thermometer check could prevent this in the future. Never the less, the quality and flavor is excellent and we will definitely be back to try other dishes.
