El Cerrito Mexican Restaurant

Positives: it's clean and the waitress was nice. Down side: Limited menu. Nothing for vegetarians. The chips tasted bitter. My burrito was just warm, gummy, and tasteless. The service was very slow, although they weren't busy (20 min to get a simple burrito with guests at just one other table.) Save your money.

So good! I was hesitant at first as it was a bit of wait but once the food came it was heaven. I have honestly never had better Mexican food. I can't recall the name of my dish but it was a chicken breast with a special lime sauce, grilled onion and jalapeño on top, it was phenomenal and absolutely worth the wait. My husband had the steak fajitas as the meat was so tender and full of flavor, the portions were great for the price. It would be amazing if they offered a combo fajita with steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo etc but even without it we would order it again. Also, when we were finishing up the place was fully packed, it's a small family run business and the staff was limited which caused a longer wait, I hope people are forgiving of that and the quality of their meal brings them back, I think it's a great addition to our city!

Tonight was only our 2nd time eating here since restaurant first opened! We were surprised the menu had changed since our last visit! Most of the menu items had been removed since our last visit! We finally just decided to split an order of Nachos with steak! BAD MISTAKE! To start with the meat/beans cheese were refrigerator cold! The meat was supposed to be steak however I highly doubt that! Will never eat here again! NASTY FOOD!! TO BAD TO! As this was a great restaurant only a few months ago

Service was good, taste of food was good. The reason for a 2 rating is because the Tostado de Ceviche portion was so minuscule and was not in any way as presented in the menu. It’s an appetizer which you would think based on the picture and the fact that appetizers are typically shared would have been different a larger portion. Very disappointed. Would have liked to post a picture but don’t see an option to upload a picture.
