Had the Number 7, all beef, no rice or beans and covered in white cheese sauce. Was incredible. I meant to take a picture but forgot all about it once this plate sent from heaven was put in front of me. The waiter, I wish I would have caught his name, took the order for 8 people, wrote nothing down and got nothing wrong. Strongly recommend, a tad pricey, but well worth it when you go.

Good food and service. Great house margarita! We started with the Queso Blanco Dip which is served with both flour and corn chips. The dip was mild and kept a smooth, melty consistency. The serving size was huge, especially for two people. For dinner, my husband had the #12 Steak Tacos combo which he thought was good, although he didn't care for the grilled onions. I tried the #3 Tamale Combo with a carnitas taco and a beef enchilada. The tamale was very good and had a lot of meat. The carnitas had good flavor as well. I also liked the beef enchilada, but it did get lost in cheese and lettuce. Our service started out slow and the waiter forgot my margarita, but once our food orders were taken and the food came out, everything went good.
Food was delicious, had the #2 Fernando’s Favorite with a beef taco and a seafood enchilada. Both were delicious. No chips and salsa come before your meal which isn’t a hug deal to me but some of you might find that a useful fact… (if you made it this far give me a thumbs up). Frozen margarita was ok, nothing special but it was drinkable… staff was friendly, restroom was clean but had a sewer smell. Nice little place for lunch!
We tried Fernando's for the first time on Saturday. Food is great and relatively inexpensive. The margaritas are very small for 7 dollars. They needed several space heaters to keep the rooms semi comfortable (and it was still chilly ). The nachos were bomb. Enchiladas, tacos ,and chimichanga were all good.
Our family eats here often and Tom the manager is always the coolest person. He does a great job keeping the restaurant clean and the staff upbeat. It's always great to see Tom when we're are here. And he always takes the time to chat with us. Good job Tom
My family and I have been coming here for years. Whenever I’m in town I have to stop and eat here or at least get takeout. The Sonoran quesadilla w/ chicken is a mindblower and you’ll be crazy if you skip the stringy cheese dip with flour chips.
Awesome and potent margaritas as well.
We always forget about this place, but have never had bad food or service. I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga, and it was delicious. We also had bean dip and queso dip as appetizers, and they were both good as well. Not to mention the Tootsie pops as a free dessert.
Was therefore a 50 person event. They served the food buffet style. They did an exceptional job and the food was delicious. Chicken and beef enchiladas and chicken and beef tacos. Food was delicious. The servers and management handled the party extremely well.
Fernando's has been a family favorite since before it opened. We've been going to El Bee's (same recipes, although the menus have diverged a little) forever, and we've been loving Fernando's, too.
It's true, it's not traditional or authentic Mexican; it's definitely Americanized Mexican (with no shortage of cheese on everything). However, Fernando's does what I consider Mexican comfort food better than anyone in town.
Additionally, their fried flour tortilla chips are unlike anything I've ever found elsewhere, and they're so good that I get an order of bean dip every time I go to the restaurant. The enchiladas and tamales are also top-notch.
Overall, they're just an excellent restaurant. Definitely one of my top favorites!
My wife and I arrived at 6pm on a Friday night. They were extremely busy. There were a number of people in the front waiting for either "To Go" orders or to be seated. We were greeted promptly and put on the wait list. We were told 10-15 minute wait.. We quickly saw a bustling group of employees moving quickly. I'd say from the time we got there until the time we were seated about 5 or 6 people came in and picked up "To Go" orders. We were seated right around 15 minutes so not a long wait. We were quickly addressed after seated. Our waitress took our drink order and returned quickly. We placed our order, my wife got the two taco plate with beans and rice and I got the Fernando's Favorites plate. Beef Enchilada, one taco with beans and rice. We were served within 10 minutes of placing our order. Surprisingly fast, our waitress checked back often. Very favorable experience, highly recommended. We will definitely be back. Delicious food, ample serving size and super fast service.
