Cupcake Island catered my birthday cake and mini cupcakes for my 50th birthday party and all of it was so delicious. I love the variety of flavors to choose from and I gave them a picture of what I wanted my birthday cake to look like and staff matched it perfectly. I chose the pink champagne, Boston Cream, lemon drop, cookies and cream, chocolate mousse, and strawberry shortcake mini cupcakes and they were perfect for everybody at my party to sample each flavor if they wished and it was difficult for me to choose a favorite flavor because I liked all of them. I highly recommend this place for cake and cupcakes. The ladies were very friendly when I went to pick up my cake and cupcakes and they packaged them very well for my lady friend and me to transport them to my birthday party.
Wonderful experience! We ordered a cake for my daughters birthday 3 days before we needed to pick it up. I told them her theme was candyland and they could decorate anyway they wanted. My daughter told them she like the color blue. I was so impressed with how it turned out!! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The cake looked amazing, was a very reasonable price and was delicious! We will absolutely order our cakes here from now on.
I have a pretty big family with lots of birthdays to celebrate, so we normally opt for making our own cakes or getting ice cream cakes from Dairy Queen. But this year, I thought it would be fun to dive into the world of custom made cakes specifically for whoever we were celebrating. Cupcake Island was my first ever experience with this. I had no idea what I was doing, but the employees were helpful and open to whatever ideas I threw at them.
This is the result and I couldn't be happier with the presentation!! The cake and corresponding gluten free cupcakes were absolutely gorgeous and my whole family ogled over it before eagerly cutting in. The cake was good -- almond with raspberry filling -- but the almond flavoring was a little too overpowering for most of us. Next time I'll make sure to specify that we don't need the almond flavoring in the frosting as well. All in all a really good experience for this first time custom cake buyer. :)
Cupcake Island is amazing! I placed an order for a birthday cake for my mom with a 2 day turnaround time, and they did such a fabulous job with it. The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Tickling the Taste Buds
My search for the best cupcake confections continued prior to the COVID-19 shutdown of everything. At Cupcake Island, I sampled three cake flavors.
For me, the best out of three was the red velvet cake. It was moist and uniformed in body when I cut the cake in half. The icing enhanced the flavor as a whole. This cupcake was also a favorite of my cake testers.
The champagne cupcake was a slight disappointment. I thought there would have been more of a sweetness to it as well as the icing.
The white on white cupcake was fair without any standout features.
Overall: The owners, whom I believe are sisters, were kind and personable and for that alone, when small businesses are allowed to reopen again, I would give this shop another try.
Love the cupcakes here. I'm sad that I have lived so close for so long and never stopped in. We were throwing a party about a month ago so I ordered a specialty cake and was very excited but one of the workers got covid and they had to close that weekend. They called and emailed multiple times so that we had time to make other plans. I really feel for anyone that had a wedding cake that weekend. Cupcake Island gave us a huge discount on our next cake for my son's birthday last week and it was magnificent. I really like the almond cake and have not had a bad cupcake flavor yet. My only complaint is that they were so good they went too fast for me to try each flavor. I also like that it is a humble no frills local bakery.
Their cupcakes were really good when my friend and I went there to get some. The Strawberry Shortcake cupcake was very moist and had the tastiest filling with the best whipped cream frosting. I would go back again.
My daughter was so excited for her amazing cake! It tasted great too!
Very good cupcakes, they are spongy and don't fall apart when you bite into them. The cream cheese frosting is perfect and just the right amount on top.
