One thing I didn't like though was that I bought the same meal in the evening and during the day, and during the day the portion of avocado (a vegetarian meal) was pathetically small, I asked for more and they did give me more without having to pay for it, so that was right of them.
But regardless of that, I certainly recommend this place!
Got the carne asada torta as a break while roadtripping, definitely a worthwhile stop! Serving size is substantial for the cost!

LOS PORTALES IS THE BEST!!!! What can't I say about this place. Best street tacos in Omaha. Loaded with meat. Tamales were perfect. Service outstanding and friendly. Ate there for lunch and called back the same night and ordered carry out for the whole family..
Great food at a great price! They give you big portions too. And you can finish it off with some ice cream. What more could you ask for?!
We went to the zoo and were looking for a place close to get quick lunch. This one is really close and had amazing food! I ordered a steak burrito for ~$8. Its delicious and a lot of food!!! Our group of 4 all liked our orders.
The Veggie Torta is to die for!! They have a lot of vegetarian options and more that can be made without meat. They also have a full ice cream counter! All the food is affordable and absolutely delicious. They have a fridge full of bottled/canned drinks including soda, juice, and mineral water. Their guacamole is really good!
The crunch of these tacos… the stuff dreams are made of. The rice is so fluffy and flavorful. The salsa verde is the best kind of spicy that makes you come back for just one more bite. Saved the tamale for last and it did not disappoint. Fantastic meal all around. Will be a regular now.
Great burritos at a good price with fast, friendly service. I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere just because the space was old and there was obvious termite damage in the restroom. It looked clean, though.
