Wow, Benson Brewery blew us away. The Benson Blonde was a great starter, super smooth. The atmosphere is laid back and super charming. The food was amazing. We didn’t have one thing that was just ok, it was all good! Highly recommend the West Omahan’s to come down and give it a whirl. Worth the drive.
Great place for good food and some home town beer. I love the way the frontage opens up and becomes a open fresh air establishment. The waitresses Mandy and Debra were great hostesses and treated us to prompt and courteous service. We go there frequently for a beer and a meal after work and will again!
The Chi beer was my favorite. Great atmosphere and staff were friendly. Beers were a bit over average. The passion fruit had excellent profile in the beer for in your face tasty brew.
Nestled in the heart of downtown historic Benson, this hidden gem gives you the local pub feel you want in a leisurely afternoon. The food is good (PRETZELS!!!!) and the staff I've dealt with are genuinely interested in my overall experience. Does it get busy on weekends? Yes. All the bars down there do, and so you don't go in for fast food, you go for fun, beer and friends. They brew their own beer and have a guest beer as well. Sours, IPAs, Lagers, etc... and my favorite thing is to try what's new. FREE SAMPLES!!!! This staff will know you after you've stopped in a few times, and you are treated like honored family. Fun attitudes, great sense of humor. Their major fault is that the staff are largely Cub fans, but even a Cardinal fan can feel at home. It's not a sports bar, so you can relax and converse with whoever came with you, or sit at the bar and chat with the patrons, bartender and staff... all very friendly. :)
This was a lively place on a Saturday night. But not busy enough that I couldn't get a seat at the bar. The bartender (Monica? ) was friendly and attentive. I got. a cream ale that was okay - could have used a little more body for a cream ale. The cubano sandwich was really good and the fries were tasty.
The sandwich made me so full that I didn't have room for another beer. Maybe next time, and there will be a next time!
Quality food and beer! They had a few plant based options and a great outdoor seating area! Kid friendly!
Excellent brews and food is good. Had the Rueben and it was stacked. Brussels sprouts for appetizer and it was great (see pictures)!
I've been told this place had the best pretzels in town and it didn't disappoint. :) the cheese sauce was divine. I love the poutine too. So much yum. My date ordered a flight of beers and while I'm not a beer drinker myself, i did sip a few and some were actually quite palatable.
Good variety of beers and even some tasty mixed drinks for the non beer drinkers. The food is fantastic though. Love the fries. With vegan ranch, they are perfection. The vegan gyro was seasoned well and so tasty. Even my meat eating husband appreciated the flavors. I love the diversity the menu has to offer.
Neat place im not really a craft beer person, So I just enjoyed the company. Was late but they said the food was amazing. The waitress was very nice and made sure everyone had what they wanted.
Came in on Sunday evening for dinner. The pretzel app was great! My wife and I really enjoyed our meals as well. We got the Cuban and Pork Tenderloin. Would definitely come back. Waitress was friendly and attentive. They had no IPA’s which I thought was odd and we’re out of their signature burger, but I understand nowadays thanks to Joe Biden. Supply issues everywhere, otherwise great experience
I've been here 6 times-ish. Time for review. One of the best places in Omaha to grab dinner. Poutine fries a must. As a connoisseur of reubens, I rank it at number 4 in omaha. Thick cut meat can leave it a bit chewy in places. Everything else we've ever eaten or drank here is fantastic. Model your business after this for success. Excellent wait/bar staff. Busy times can produce a wait for food, but will be worth it.
