Always great. Dined in October for our anniversary, and Justin was so accomodating, preparing something for me off menu, I'd been craving. Back for Thanksgiving dinner with the wonderful heritage turkey (the restaurant was quite full, but service and food did't suffer one bit.) everything was perfection. Always enough leftovers for a full meal the next evening at home.

One of the reasons this is our favorite restaurant is the menu being changed seasonally. If you get on the mailing list you'll get notifications of the new menus, special dinners (thanksgiving, Christmas eve, and New Years eve), wine tastings, and pop-up dinners. Last newsletter even mentioned cooking classes. The winter menu has added some hardy French winter dishes which I'm looking forward to sampling.

We have never been to the Christmas Eve dinner, as I cook a traditional English or French Christmas day meal. This year we are treating ourselves to the New Years eve dinner. Can't wait to receive the menu.

This year for the first time, Justin and Zoe are selling gift certificates through the end of the year, and got hubby to purchase one for my birthday dinner, in January. If you purchase one for $100+ you receive a nice bottle of champagne, which we took home with us.

If you ever get the chance, try Justin's cream of carrot soup with lavander. It's to die for (and I don't particularly like cream soups.) One of my favorite main courses is the quail. As with several other main courses, you have the choice of standard or larger portions.

Chef's Whim. 3 hours of fooooooood. So. Here's what I'm going to tell you. You want a joint to impress someone? You want to show someone a unique dining experience for the Olympia area? La Petite Maison is the place for you.

Service - excellent, staff friendly, outgoing and warm

Speaking of warm, we were seated out in the enclosed porch, and it wasn't cold at all. Very comfortable.

Call ahead by a couple of days and tell them that you want the tasting menu or chefs whim. You can do a bunch of courses, and they can tailor it to your dietary needs or restrictions. I can't honestly tell you how good this is. Just look at the photos...look at them!

The bad part:

The cost. Starting at 100 a person (and going up from there) it can get VERY expensive VERY quickly. However, again, it's the best restaurant I've been to here in Olympia. The cost is (which is status quo for Olympia) about 25% higher than it should be. That's NOT saying this wasn't worth every penny, just that it's a bit more expensive than it should be.

Bottom line - if you live in this city, or around this city and you want a good, quality, well-prepared gourmet meal, GO HERE.

Amazing. We just ate here last night for our anniversary and everything was spectacular. They offer a tasting menu every night (which we have had twice now) and we went for it last night with wine pairing. All the courses were perfectly portioned and flavorful, and noticeably executed with a lot of care. The scallop with sweet corn was a highlight as was the chocolate souffle. All of the wines were great and paired well with the food. The chef came out to chat with us before we took of. We will definitely be back.

A group of us celebrating our 45th class reunion from North Thurston HS in Lacey went to La Petite Maison for a special meal before we all had to go our separate ways. To say that the meal was fabulous would be saying way to little! The food was sheer heaven and truly a "gastronomical delight"!! The pork belly had an indescribable flavor and melted in your mouth!! I don't eat much seafood however I did that day!! Steamer clams! Scallops!! There was soup with layers of flavor, beef that also melted in your mouth! And then came dessert!!! Chocolate soufflé like I've never tasted before with ice cream!! We are still talking about it on our way home to Arizona!! Thank you Justin and Zoe Wells for topping off a wonderful event filled weekend with old friends!!! The service was top notch and the place is beautiful and comfortable!! We will be back!!!

THE BEST IN TOWN. This restaurant is by far the very best dining experience I have had in the Olympia/South Sound area in the 30+ years I have been in the NW. We came in to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it just so happened to be the 2 year anniversary of their opening. Shocked that I hadn't heard more about this special place until just recently!
We went for the five course tasting menu and my husband did the wine pairings along with it. Every course was enjoyable and timed perfectly. Don't go here if you are in a hurry, this is a place to go when you want a true night out, a leisurely meal, nice wine, and to enjoy the company of people you care for most. We especially loved the scallop course with peas and morel mushroom and the filet mignon was perfectly prepared with a rich veal sauce and the best creamy potatoes I have ever had. After the souffle we ordered some dessert wine and french press coffee and ended up hanging out for another hour or so before going home to relieve the babysitter. The service was great and we never felt hurried like we have at some other places in town. The chef also came out to wish us happy anniversary and we ended up chatting for a while and left with the most delicious pistachio macarons that we enjoyed for breakfast the following morning.
We can't wait to return and only hope that they stay busy and successful so Olympia has a truly fine dining spot to experience for years to come.

Best. Meal. Ever.. Had one of the best meals in my life for my birthday dinner at this AMAZING French restaurant in Olympia called La Petite Maison. Chef made everything from scratch for my food allergies. Husband and wife team and all I can say is WOW. Anyone want to have a delicious 4 star quality meal in the Oly area go there. Literally can't think of any meal I've enjoyed more since I've become severely allergic to garlic and all alliums.

The restaurant is in a quaint little house, well placed seating. We shared an appetizer of butter braised shrimp with a beurre blanc sauce, and my husband had the rack of lamb, and I had the pan roasted beef tenderloin with salt roasted potato fingerlings. The chef made an on the fly sauce from scratch for me that had no alliums (I had to double check as it was so good I was sure it had to have something in there I shouldn't be having) to go on top of the beef tenderloin (since I couldn't have the normal veal sauce he uses). He also send out this beautiful little birthday dessert for me of freshly made blackberry sorbet, with an honeyed olive oil drizzle, lemon zest sugar, and blackberry and honey compote. Amazing meal, and perfect ending- light, fresh, fruity.

Absolutely nothing I can say wrong about this play, highly recommend to anyone who wants truly fine dining. At the end of the meal he came out to ask how we liked it, and make sure I was okay with what he made. Super friendly knowledgeable couple, amazing food, fantastic wine. Perfect birthday dinner. :) Only sad note was that we were too full to try the chocolate souffle for dessert. But that just means we'll have to go back for round 2 (aka just dessert and maybe some wine)

Best in Oly!. My new favorite restaurant! Went for my birthday celebration and everything was perfect. Loved the salmon preparation and the quail. Save room for dessert! The new owners are very nice people and have done a great job of remodeling the place.

Worth every Penny. The atmosphere is unadorned and intimate, but the food is the star.
We ordered the roasted pistachios as an appetizer, they were good though more then a few were just empty shells, for a 1/3 of a cup of nuts one would think it would be easy to not have that happen even if it was under $10. The bread they brought out was fresh and the texture was delightful. We ordered the special for two, one meal that served that feeds two for +$70.
The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, the Chef had sauteed a special locally grown pea shoots that were amazing the flavor was like new spring peas but texture and feel on the tongue were more like very thin asparagus. The sauce worked perfectly with whole plate. This is a Chef that gets Star status in my book.

Fantastic Place. If you enjoy nice quiet dinning, service beyond reproach, food that is a 18 on the 10 meter, then you have to go to Le Petite Maison. Chef Justin Wells and his wife, Zoe, make ever effort to make your experience with them the best it can be.

This is one of the best hidden gems on the west coast. It’s literally a husband and wife. The service is amazing, wine list is great, and most of all the food is always great. Get the 5-course meal about $60/person and it will not disappoint. They are very accommodating. It’s fine dining without being pretentious. LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Came here for date night, excellent romantic setting. Got the 5 course special with wine pairing. Excellent food and well paired wine selection. My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our time here. Will come back, the best restaurant I've been to in my time in olympia.

I honestly didn't think I liked french food, but wow was I impressed. I went here for a work dinner and was not expecting to really like the food but it was so good! It was a casual setting, like a house with mutliple rooms converted to a restaurant. So it was a little odd for a work function because the areas were seperated a bit much. The meal was served in multiple courses and everything was really good. For my main dish I had the scallops and they were the best I ever had! Great service, great food!

Any chance to dine here is an absolute treat. From the ambience, the warm genuine welcome and conversations, the expert wine pairing guidance, to the stellar farm fresh exquisitely prepared plates - this is a major must of you like or have ever wanted to try approachable upscale NW inspired French cuisine. Do yourself a favor and blindly order whatever the five course option is for the day. Bon appetit!

This is a 5 star restaurant. The food here is exquisite. I would recommend their escargots and the carrot soup. I would also suggest giving yourself 3 hours to dine at this restaurant as things are slow paced. The entrees we got were over seasoned and the chocolate souffle was very dry. It tasted more like a muffin. Overall, it was a good experience and I'm glad we have a 5 star restaurant in Olympia.

they are the best!!!!! my daughter and I have been there several times, not only have they served us the best food ever, but they also have been able to do the most perfect wine pairings. I highly recommend them for all occasions and intimate dinners for two. :)

Really enjoyable. The staff was so gracious to welcome us in for an early (530) Saturday dinner (with 2 kiddos under 2) without a reservation. By around 630 others were obviously on very nice Saturday night dates, so I will say I feel a bit guilty we "intruded" without a reservation. However, as I mentioned the staff was so great to us. And the food was such a treat! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and look forward to our next visit.

Their food is simply amazing. My whole family was melting in their seats with enjoyment of their food. It is not cheap but I am sure that has to do with why it is so good. Quality ingredients prepared by a master at his craft. It is a good value for that high of a quality of a meal. We will be back. Wonderful attentive service. Nice atmosphere. Not to crowded (for Tuesday night). You should try this place. You will not be disappointed.
