Our Favorite spot in Olympia for years - authentic Italian with local fresh ingredients, fantastic wine- the owner is a great Host and has made fantastic food in Europe Asia and now we are lucky to have him in Olympia!! Bonus and they have fantastic GF menu including yummy bread!
Meh..... Not too shabby for this kind of joint. Staff is friendly to a point, but mostly professional is as professional does, and they're a reflection of that mentality. (Nothing wrong with it in my opinion) Most of their items are "handmade" or "homemade" and the flavor is there, but...something is lacking... I don't know what it is... ambience? I couldn't put my finger quite on it but something was off. Plan on spending some serious cash-money if you're going to be drinking. Two of us, coffee's all around, one dessert, main courses, apps and multiple beers for two cost 125.00 without tip.
A wonderful find. Professional and attentive service and superb food. Gluten free options were plentiful. Nice by the glass wine choices and some yummy sounding deserts.

Basilico has better food than most places I've traveled to in Italy! It's a warm and welcoming environment perfect for anniversaries.

From tantalizing handmade pasta made from scratch, to trusted wine pairings, to simple & balanced salad apps, the staff and owners of Basilico know how to take care of you to feel right at home.

Best ever in this part of the world. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the greater Seattle/Portland/Vancouver area, seriously. We live in Seattle and sometimes come here for dinner. It's always worth the trip. Pastas are well made and just right. Appetizers, surprisingly generous in portion size, are usually very solid. They also offer a large range of non-meat choices. Basilico executes mostly close-to-standard dishes with great dedication and excellence, adding a light touch of innovation, just enough to keep things interesting. Nothing showy or silly. Service is amicable, polished, and surprisingly fast. Considering the quality, prices are very reasonable. Elsewhere, you pay about the same or more for mediocre food and lame choices.
We stopped in for a snack of Calamari Affogati and found it sooo hard to leave but we had tickets for Enchanted April at Harlequin Productions! This dinner and a show is the perfect marriage!

The Taste of Italy here in Olympia. We had a great dinner here--came on a week night and were greeted with a smile and were treated to a delicious dinner. My wife and I used to live in Europe and frequented Italy often and the food here at Basilico's can hold its own with any of the restaurants over there. Such a treat to have great Italian so close to home. Fresh pasta, regional dishes, great wine and delicious deserts all with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Awesome.
Wow!!! The pasta may have looked boring but holy cow did it taste amazing, so many layers of flavor!! The braised pork was delicious too and the dessert was awesome! The waitress was super kind and helpful. My only only complaint is the calamari could have been a bit crispier but it was a lovely experience and I will definitely want to come back!
Excellent little Italian spot with great hand-made pastas and a entree dishes. They have a nice selection of Italian wines and spirits as well. There are plenty of gluten-free options including GF pastas and bread. Braised short ribs were excellent as well as the polenta. Staff is very friendly. We went on a Tuesday night and it got rather busy in this cozy little restaurant. Be patient as you may have to wait a little. We will be back!
The food is excellent and the staff is THE BEST! I don’t know who made those handmade spaghetti but thank you, it made my day! Highly recommend this place for Italian food!
Thank you for the perfect customer service from the moment we walked in the door! The Gluten-Free options were plentiful and melt in your mouth delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by and thoroughly enjoyed the simple dinner salad and the entrees were scrumptious! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
Came here on a surprise visit for our second anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed a tasting menu with wine pairing. Every course was an absolute feast for the senses and the owner himself described the meal in all its particulars. An absolute delight from start to finish. I wish I had more stomachs to have done the meal more justice!
Absolutely phenomenal service, atmosphere and food! Went on a date on a whim with the boyfriend and was not disappointed. The drinks were fantastic, the owner was attentive and extremely helpful in helping us figure out what to eat on his incredibly appetizing menu. We started with the charcuterie and not only was it beautiful, but it was as tasty as it looked. The appetizer bread was warm and soft, and he offered to bring us more whenever. We had a couple drinks of his recommendation, and he helped us narrow down our options on the menu. I got the ragu while boyfriend got the pheasant ... the ragu was great, but boy do I wish I got the pheasant! I'll definitely be back to order it myself. We finished with the tiramisu and the berry compote Panna Cotta, and ended our meal just as it began; beautiful and extremely tasty. A very fulfilling and romantic dinner. 😊👌
