Review Sam's Daylight Donuts

This is the place to for donuts. The sweets are excellent and the owners are even better. They are a lovely Cambodian couple. Bright, friendly from day one, and slightly over generous. I buy a dozen for the crew and they always throw in a half dozen donut holes on top. I have told them to stop because those things are revenue and I am already a regular customer. They promptly ignore me and try to be slick about adding them now. (Now I just throw a couple bucks in the tip jar to try and balance it out) Today, they did me one better than I would have expected. After I paid, I was holding a juice in one hand while trying to pick the box up with the other. I failed. While holding the boxes end, the bottom fell out of the other side. All six of the donut holes fell out and one of the other donuts got smoothed while I shoved the box against the counter to stop them all from falling. All in all, I did OK because all but one of the donuts were perfectly fine. But She (who's name I have never gotten for some reason) insisted on a new box. And new donuts. I tried to put a stop to that right quick. All (but one) of the donuts were fine. And it was MY fault. She nodded her head and whipped up a new box faster than I could object. And She did it with a smile even though *I* was the klutz. I feel bad that while they took a loss, they have once again cemented that I will continue to be a loyal customer.

There donuts are light and fluffy. They have several options for the filling for the filled donuts. Thus store has been there for years. Good option to the thawed out donuts you have to buy at the big super stores that don't make fresh donuts anymore.

Sam and Ma own and operate this donut shop; I’ve gotten to know them well, over all the donut stops on the way to school for the past 3 years. The best glazed donuts ever, quality is alway top notch, service is as well.
