Amazing home style Honduran food. Highly recommend Pollo Especial. Fried chicken was well seasoned and juicy with fried plantains and fresh cabbage and picked onion slaw. And order Baleada Especial that is made with meat, fried beans, Honduran cheese, sour cream, and avocados with tortillas made from scratch. And order yellow cherry juice from freshly pressed yellow cherries.

Wonderful little spot with something different. I tried the papusa, baleada, and tajadas con todos. All were very good and the pickled vegetables balanced the dishes well. My wife had the empanadas with cabbage salad and was also very pleased.

My new nephew is Honduran and wanted a taste of home so him and my niece ate there. He was like Tia it's just like my mamas. So I had to try it. Baby when I tell you this food was so good. I will never ever eat fried chicken any other place but there. The food was so amazing we got the sampler platter to taste a bit of everything and everything was amazing. They have delicious fresh fruit drinks and when I tell you the customer service was A1 that's exactly what I mean. I highly highly recommend you try it. You will not be disappointed. They have new lifetime customers in my family. Thanks for treating us so nice. Ps the chicken was so good I couldnt get a picture. My homegirl ate it down to the bone grisel and all. We tried to get the recipe. Maybe one day and I ain't ever had fried beans that good. Ok I could go on and on but yes! Yes! yes!

This was a nice place to visit as I'd never tried Honduran food before. What I got was delicious and more than I could eat in one sitting for a good price. I want to go back and try some of the other dishes with Ingrediants I haven't eaten before.

The food is absolutely amazing. I had the Fried Pork Chop with fried bananas and all the sides. Not something that I thought I would enjoy so much, but I really do. I'm definitely going to return and bring some friends. Can't wait to get the word out.

Family owned and operated, this place is delicious! Order the Baleada w/ egg, avocado, black beans, Honduran cheese and cream!!! I had the Honduran Enchiladas for the first time today and they were also so good. Fried Plantains also a must try. Oh almost forgot… They have really really tasty coffee 5 stars I love this place!!!

Honduran Crack. This place is addictive. The sauce is obviously laced with crack. I had the chicken which is a mountain of fried delish. This place puts the Hon in Honduras. The fried bananas and the banana soda are so refreshing. Friendly staff. This place is a surprising treat.

This was the first time I've had Honduran food and it was delicious. Our waiter went through all of their most popular dishes and described them. He gave us a sample of their yellow cherry and coconut drink which was really good. I got the pollo con tajadas which is fried chicken on a bed of fried green bananas that come with every meal. It was so good! I will definitely be back soon.

We have enjoyed many delicious meals here at Mi Tierra. We both had the fried chicken, and both our plates came with a) slaw topped with pico de gallo, b) a curtido of onions, and c) a really generous portion of fried green bananas. Best meal we've had in MONTHS? Yes, seriously -- it was THAT good. (The Hubster is still talking about it, and we've been home for a good thirty minutes now.) Terrific service, too -- very friendly, very chatty. Extremely helpful. I want to try the aguas frescas next time I go in, as they all looked especially tasty. (And who doesn't like horchata, let alone Jamaica?) The cebollas encurtido (pickled onions) here are particularly well made, quite attractive, and complimentary with most meals. I do wish the proprietors would tone down the religious stuff, particularly the music. (If I wanted to go to freakin' church, I'd go to freakin' church.) That said, the food is so good and the service so friendly that I am generally willing to overlook the owner's particular taste in superstitions. We'll be back again and again!

My husband is from Honduras so we were so excited when it opened up near our house. The baleadas and fried plantains are both really great. I now prefer honduran food to mexican food. It is more mild and less heavy. And the refried beans are far better than any I have had at a mexican food restaurant. Also, the restaurant is clean and the servers are very nice, attentive, friendly, and are helpful to our friends who have never had honduran food before. Overall a great restaurant! Definitely worth a try!

My wife and I absolutely loved the food! We live in the neighborhood and have been regulars to the previous 2 restaurants located in this building. I truly hope Mi Tierra is around for years to come, as it may be the best one yet. The menu is varied. The food was perfectly seasoned. The flavors in each dish were well balanced and even dishes that seemed unusual at first, turned out to be fantastic. I look forward to going through the menu and trying every dish over time. I also heard they do soup on the weekend, but the server didn't say what kind. I'm going to have to make sure I come in on a weekend to find out. It's far from a hardship. I am going to recommend this place to all of my friends.
