Love this place. Always smiling faces and the bagels are great. Better than other places due to the chew and the consistency.
The guys treat you well and eventually learn your name and order, and sometimes that's a hard thing to find.
I've ripped a bunch of local places for poor customer service. However, these guys are always legit professional and make delicious bagel sangwhiches. I love this place.
For bagels, this is the place!. I haven't been to too many places where the employees are as enthusiastic and friendly and generally appear to be having a great time as they do here! It doesn't matter what kind of a day you're having when you walk in, because within 30 seconds they will greet you warmly, know your name and make it clear they want you to have a great meal. I so happy to have finally found a place in OKC that knows how to do an everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, tomato and onion--one of my favorite breakfasts. This place does it right and the coffee is good too. I come to OKC frequently and I will definitely be back. Great service guys!
Love Old School Bagel! A coworker used to bring in these fantastic bagels and when he left, I had to find out where he got them from. Turns out I live right around the corner! I thought the ordering system was a little odd the first time I visited but it's pretty efficient. Now I bring the bagels to work :)
Awesomeness!!. I grew up in Jersey and am pretty picky about bagels. These are the real deal, as good as you get in most Jewish delis in NYC. The lox and cream cheese on a salt bagel will make you think you feel the rumble of the subway going underneath.
I see people compare them to Panera, if you're not from back east you need to understand that Panera doesn't sell bagels. They sell bread in a bagel shape, and they call it a bagel, but it's not a bagel. Not close. If you want the real thing, go to OSB.
REAL Bagels!. It smells soooooo good the minute you open the door! You know you are at the right place! The bagels here are the real deal! Plain, sesame, cinnamon raison, everything, cranberry orange walnut, jalapeño cheddar...they are all good! There are no real favorites! The muffins are just as good as the bagels! Try lox and cream cheese with that bagel. You'll be happy! They don't skimp on cream cheese so if you want a small schmear, ask for light on the cream cheese. They know what they are doing!
The only place to get a real bagel. My kids and I visit at least once a week. We love EVERYTHING! I am never disappointed when I try something new. They will toast, slice, heat up, dig out or cut your bagel in fourths, whatever you ASK for, they will do! We also love the atmosphere. It is warm, friendly and fun. We are so glad that Oklahoma finally has a REAL bagel shop!
Our favorite sandwiches include:
Bacon, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Bagel on Blueberry (you have to try this!)
Bacon, Egg, Sausage & Cheese on Honey Oat (yummm)
Little Turkey on Honey Oat
Tuna Salad on Honey Oat or Everything (tasty!)
Sooner Club on Plain or Honey Oat (lotsa meat!)
Bottom line is we are in love with these bagels. Once you taste them, you will be too!
Great place to get a bagel. The bagels and ingredients are fresh. Customer service is awesome too.
There bagels are alot better than paneras
This Place is Amazing. If I had to pick only one restaurant that I could eat at forever, this would be it. My wife and I have been going here about once a week for the past 4 years. Some reviewers have complained that it's not real NY bagels. The actual bagels are NY style, but the sandwiches are targeted for Oklahomans. I have had almost everything on the menu, and it is all very good. My favorites are breakfast bagel (bacon), spinach salad, mile high club, and pizza bagel. My favorite bagels are plain, multigrain and french toast. The staff is always very courteous and efficient even when they are busy. I highly recommend Old School Bagel Cafe.
Great place for a delicious, inexpensive breakfast. We love coming for the bagel sandwiches! They’re always so good!
The bagel sandwich's were delicious and the specialty coffees were really good. Next time I will ask them to either grill or toast my bagel. Otherwise it was delicious and soft.
Great as always! I was a kid in the 90s and absolutely loved new York bagel shop. I'm so glad they've been back after the hiatus when Manhattan bagel took over... Dark times those were. You cannot beat these bagels they're the absolute best! And I know the classics are great (cream cheese, pizza bagel) but seriously try one of the bagel sandwiches! You'll never go back to a regular sandwich once you do.
The food was great! Husband loves bagels but I love croissants. Found out you can easily replace the bagel with a croissant! #score
Old School is a solid, in-and-out bagel shop.
It's not worthy of superlatives; it's not an experience; it's exactly what it's trying to be. Convenient, pretty well priced, unique for the area--I'm happy with it.
This is the best lox bagel I have ever had! it was amazing with sprouts. also the service was amazing, Michael was super friendly and checked in on us to make sure we enjoyed all of our food.
Late morning visit on a Saturday. I appreciated the seating beside the "fireplace." My bagel was fresh, and so was my coffee.
The bacon egg and cheese bagel is great. I wish there was an option for uncured turkey bacon. I always add onions and mayo and have the bagel toasted with warm meat and melted cheese. The only caveat is the price. I will only order when they have a buy on get one free on Uber eats. Otherwise $16 for one bagel sandwich is pretty steep.
I love love love this find! Since discovering it, I visit at least 2-3x a month out of being conservative. I wish I could go daily!
My first visit, I had the Sooner Club- turkey, ham, Swiss, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and onion. It was a great first start!
Now- its Always the El Fuego- Chipotle seasoned pulled pork, jalapeños, onions, Jack cheese and spicy mayo ❤
The restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained. The staff has always been friendly, even when they are busy..
Also- just to note: Prices seemed a bit high at first but the quality is undeniable and hands down worth it!!
Expanded and now pretty huge and less intimate. Does have a couple of couches seated next to a faux fire place which was nice. A bit shocked at the prices. Two bagels and two coffes was close to $30. Still like it but not as much as I did a few years ago when it was smaller and cozier.
