This is my favorite place to eat in OKC. You want and adventure and want to try a variety order Bo 7 ways. Then adventure out from there. Any thing they make here is good. You want simple chicken fried rice, it will be made to order and the best chicken fried rice. This place is always busy and there is a reason for it.

This is one of the nicer Chinese restaurants in the OKC metro.  The menu is numbered, just like what you would find at a strip mall Chinese take-out place, but the menu is much more extensive than that take-out place.  You can admire the live fish and lobster in tanks, waiting to be ordered by a future customer, or you can take a walk up to the meat case to gaze into the hollow eyes of a roasted pig's head.  This is all on top of some very nice looking furniture and attractive wall decorations.

I went here with a friend of mine for lunch on the Tuesday after Christmas.  I am glad that I told him to meet me there at 11:45 am because it was full by the time we finished up around 12:45 pm.  I ordered kung pao chicken, while he ordered noodles with stir fried chicken and vegetables.  My kung pao chicken was just about right.  The dried red peppers were spicy, the peanuts helped to cool down the spiciness, the chicken was diced into bite sized pieces, and there was a fair amount of sauteed bell peppers and onions mixed in.  My only problem with the dish is that the onion was not cooked enough to take out the bite that raw white onion presents.

My friend liked his chicken and noodles.  I was impressed that he ate the entire entree.  We both agreed that the portion sizes were generous.  I decided to take home half of the chicken that was served to me.  I splurged on Christmas Day.  Today it was back to more realistic sized portions.

With a menu this large and so many other dishes to try, I will definitely have to return.

We loved this place! Ate here on a whim as the place we wanted to go to was closed. Uh oh - 3 kids and the buffet is closed. We stopped here as we knew it was just a few blocks away. The menu was huge - another heart-pounding fright. How in the world would the kids ever pick something. 10 minutes later not only had we chosen our dishes, but they arrived! Lucked out!
Egg Drop soup - not salty enough, but tasted very fresh
Salted Squid - magnificent, a must get; perfectly cooked and huge portion
Mongolian Beef - best I've ever had; great char on beef and onions still crisp
Kung Pao chicken - not my favorite, but I don't like peanut sauce or warm peanuts
Squid with chili and lemon grass - not too spicy, but very well flavored; squid was a bit more rubber banded than the salted squid
Squid with stir fry veggies - not spicy at all and nicely flavored; chewiness level about the same as prior dish
Steamed pork belly - if you like bacon, you will love pork belly. take bacon (which is cured pork belly) and concentrate the porkiness and give it the texture of slow cooked pulled pork shoulder and a melt in your mouth fat vein.
Caramelized fish in a clay pot - flavor was excellent. Rich, meaty, earthy. Made with catfish, so a bit of dirtiness. The only drawback - LOTS of bones. Will not buy again just because of bones. But again, flavor - amazing!
Beef with pepper - very rich sauce, peppers very toothsome, and beef with great char.
Service was friendly and ridiculously fast. Busy, but not loud or unpleasant. Menu is GIANT. So many options, some of which are quite unique. Only $60 to feed 5 people. Or $36 for two appetizers and two dinners. AMAZING prices.

Thought the food was excellent. Didn't care much for the mass quantities as I was eating by myself and it turned into food overload.

Ordered soup and a beef dish. The soup was good but a huge portion. They don't do cups so it is meal sized or nothing. The entrée was similar. Much more than I and possibly a friend could hope to finish - not to mention the bowl of rice that came with it.

I expect that I will be returning - but with reinforcements!

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the city. A bit pricy but excellent. The best roast duck I've ever had and the waterspinach is excellent. You'll be missing out if you don't come by.

A wonderful place to dine if you are looking for a family-style meal that consists of a variety of Vietnamese and/or Chinese traditional food. The portions are reasonable and there are a variety depending on the size of meal that you want.
The service is kind of slow and the servers are not attentive.
I like the price of thai tea with boba of the cost of $2.50

It is a good place to take family members that are out-of-state or large groups of friends for a fun-dining experience. This place also has a banquet room. :-)

Go for the noodles.. This place offers a variety of Asiatic cusine. The service is best during prime dining hours. Family dining meals are given the best service by far. Consider going with a larger group if you would like to have the best possible experience at this restaurant. Order a family dinner for 8 to 16 people at a round table. It's good to book it in advance. If you are dining on your own try the dumplings and a combination flat noodle. If you like it spicy state your case very firmly. They are timid when it comes to adding heat for Americans. Overall this place provides good quality food for the price and an average dining experience. The menu offers in excess of 100 entree options. The fermented fish is a must have if you are doing the family dinner.

Their fresh spring rolls are the best in OKC! I love getting them with shrimp or tofu.

SOOO WORTH IT!!!. I went to the Golden Phoenix last night for dinner because I was in the mood for something special and I couldn't have made a better choice! I had the chicken special house rolls, pan fried shrimp and black milk tea. Oh My Gosh! Everything was super fresh and perfectly seasoned. The black milk tea is what really blew me away though. It's like a darker type of chai latte with tapioca. Simply marvelous!

Amazing restaurant. They offer dim sum but we ordered a bunch of dishes to share from the menu. The green beans, fried dumplings, and orange chicken were my favorites. Fried squid was an honorable mention. But all of it was delicious and fantastic. It's fun to go with a group so you can try lots of different dishes. Many tables had lazy Susan rotating tabletops which makes it easier to share. The staff were friendly and helpful. We went on a Sunday for lunch with a group of 5 + 1 baby and were seated right away.

So many food choices in menu! The prices are at the higher end but still reasonable. Friendly servers patiently answered our questions. First time trying Salted Egg Pumpkin, no regret. Fried rice was tasty (with MSG of course) and spring rolls were good too. Will try their dim sum the next time I visit OKC.

My biggest advice here would be to just get the dim sum and not the main dishes. I liked all the dim sum plates I got but none of the regular ones which were the roast duck and honey walnut shrimip. They were cooked perfectly with crispiness and very fresh but unfortunately the flavor fell short. The chicken feet, shumai, preserved egg congee, and sesame balls from the dim sum menu were terrific. I also love that it's all day dim sum. The servers were great as well, very attentive.

Food was so yummy! And the service was spectacular. Our food came out right away and servers were very attentive. For the food, everything melted in my mouth and I was not disappointed. After a full stomach, the bill was very affordable for 2 people. I wish I lived in the area to come back again!

I went to Thanksgiving dinner with a friend here this week. Here are the highlights: Upon walking in, we worried it was going to cost too much, but we escaped without even paying $20 a piece, and that included the tip, which, in this day and age, I cannot in good conscience scrimp on. She ordered a roast duck plate, and I ordered a stir-fried eggplant dish. We both agree that the decor was magnificent, the portions were larger than expected, and very flavorful. The food is well worth returning for. I do have a couple of critiques: 1. The available parking is awful. We wound up parking around the corner at the Asian grocery. 2. The staff was a bit neglectful. We both had to ask for refills of our drinks, and there were none of the expected condiments at the table. I hope you don't require sugar for your tea. This is less of a critique, and more of an FYI: you better know how to use chopsticks. They don't offer silverware. Still, we enjoyed ourselves, and I think I'll be going back more than a couple times. 👍

Extremely good food and awesome staff! Upon arrival we were immediately greeted and seated. I ordered hot tea, dumpling soup, and general tso chicken. The food came out really quick and was piping hot! Several different waiters checked on us very frequently and never let our drink get less than half full. I would highly recommend Golden Phoenix to ALL of my friends and family as I was truly delighted A++

Five stars!!! Food was amazing, great service and atmosphere. We arrived about 12:30pm on a Friday afternoon. It was busy, but we were seated promptly by a very sweet young lady. We ordered the spring rolls, sweet & sour chicken and the beef lo mein with thin noodles. Everything came out hot and fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and will return soon.

Food was really good! I got the BBQ pork and roast duck noodle soup. Price wasn't too bad. Service was decent. I'm giving 5 stars because of the amount of different selections they have that are authentic tradition Chinese dishes that most American Chinese places don't offer. If your looking for an authentic experience definitely check it out. UPDATE: Went back with a friend and got their fried rice and lo mein and NO JOKE was some of the best fried rice and lo mein I've ever had. Went back for their di sum to (first time having dim sum) and it was pretty awesome as well. They wheel a cart around with different dishes and you can just pick what looks good. Awesome place!

This place deserves so much more higher ratings than any other restaurants around the area!! Golden Phoenix is the #1 restaurant I recommend everyone to try. Their service is top notch, their menu is full of options ranging from Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean, and the food was phenomenal! I cannot wait to return to try the rest of the menu. The only thing to be aware of is the dirty plates and utensils.. but the waiters are super nice and attentive and will quickly replace them.

I would have given 4 stars but the service left a bad taste in my mouth. Getting the check took so long we asked another waiter for it and he reluctantly printed our check and just walked away from me even though I had the credit card visible in my hand. Originally we wanted to eat dim sum but apparently only one chef can do it and he was vacation so no dim sum for today. The food was tasty and filling but I’m hesitant to come back just because of the service. Second visit: I went on a Saturday morning and they had dim sum carts going around the restaurant. The service was much better and the food was pretty good. I would suggest coming during peak hours Saturday or Sunday morning. It’s about 10-15 minute wait for a table but the dim sum is fresh and people will come to your table instead of ignoring you.
