This is a nice little spot. We decided to stop in for a quick bite before picking up our kids. The server was very nice. Our appetizer (the meatballs) was super tasty. Husband had the chicken parmesan and was really happy with it. I had the tortellini with alfredo sauce, it was good but I will be trying something new if we make it back. The bread was very overbaked and hard to eat, but the flavor was good. Overall it was a nice meal and we'd recommend.
Talking with one of the employees, I was surprised to discover the pasta is not as fresh as one would think. It is not made on premises, but is contracted out. That said, I'm curious about the pasta content. I'm familiar with making homemade pasta, and this was rather heavy pasta. It seems over processed which could be too much kneading making the pasta tough as opposed to tender.
The sauce wasn't bad, but it needs some more depth. They seem to rely too much on salt and not as much herbs.
It was good for a try, but I think I'll stick to pasta at home.
I thought the atmosphere, service and food were all great. I had the lasagna roll with the fettuccini (Alfredo) and pesto pasta. I can't complain about anything literally.
Get the Lasagna Rolls now, and thank me later. Great service and nice easy-going atmosphere. Great place to pop in for a good, hearty meal.
Cheese bread is yum, as are the lasagna rolls. Nice place to have in S OKC.
Of course the location near campus in Norman is the best but I do think it will take a little time to get the kinks worked out. The cheese lasagna tastes about the same as Norman. It's hard to duplicate something so good as Victoria's on campus and we need more eateries in South OKC so I truly hope things get better for them b
We love the original in Norman but this location is just as great! Great pasta, fresh and incredible. The staff are always friendly and attentive.
