The best staff!! We love this place. Since the old location to this new one. Never a bad meal or experience. The most perfectly cooked crispy bacon. I love the crabcake Benny. My hubby had the classic griddle. Great lighting, comfy seating and good coffee plus a small patio. My favorite casual breakfast spot. Avocado toast and fresh juices are also the best!
My husband and I love to find different places to eat, we found this place, looking for a brunch place. We found it refreshing. The juice we tried was the red one, which has watermelon, pineapple , mint and lime. You can taste the mint and watermelon very much, delicious. My husband had the breakfast taco without the avocado, I had the chicken fried steak. Only because I enjoy going around trying to find the best chicken fried steak.
The breakfast tacos gave me a taste of a chili flavor but yummy, I found them light and not a heavy feeling flavor. The black beans seem saltless, but they are still delicious tasting.
The chicken fried steak had a batter I never tasted, but it was light tasting not heavy tasting. The gravy was a sausage gravy which I'm not used too but it was good. It was not too over powering, I can say it was light tasting. The potatoes were good and so were the eggs. A very fullfilling flavor 😋
Wanted to try something new so we tried a trip to the northside of town. First Bite cafe is exactly what we needed. We started with the griddle cakes. I had the huevos rancheros tostadas with black beans and we also got an omelette with mushrooms. The food and service was great and we will definitely be back! Enjoy!
Nice little cafe with a great breakfast menu! They had some healthy options too which was awesome. There was no wait on a Sunday morning which was great (surprising).
First time at this cafe. We were greeted with smiles and led to a booth that is roomy and very comfortable. (I have back issues) I had 2 griddle cakes filled with ricotta cheese, topped with a sweet/tart lemon curd and fresh strawberries. What a delight. And the candied bacon. Oh my, what an explosion of flavor. Smoky bacon wrapped in a combination of syrup, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. I will be back for more.
In town for a wedding and First Bite was very close to our hotel. Originally planned on getting our breakfast to go, but one of the staff ensured us dine in would be quick if we wanted to have a seat - SO glad we did! The staff was attentive, happy to see you and made sure you were satisfied with everything you had. My fiancé had the chilaquiles and I had the huevos rancheros tostadas. Both were delicious and I finished all of mine, the pico really made the whole dish. If we ever find ourselves back in the area we will be sure to revisit First Bite Cafe!
Delicious food and good coffee. They have tons of options including vegetarian, healthy choices and more. I also had the green juice and I enjoy it a lot.
What a sweet treat to find this morning! Lovely, delicious food! Terrific staff, great location and wonderful atmosphere! Can’t wait to bring a group back to enjoy this cool little place!!
We would rate our meal there between a 4 and a 4 1/2. The environment was nice and as my husband said, everyone there seemed happy. My husband had a Turkey Club Sandwich with Chicken Pecan Salad and he really enjoyed it. He said the salad was fresh and delicious and his 1/2 club sandwich was huge. I ordered “Bubba’s Benny,” and it was delightfully good. It had a Turkey Patty over biscuits with Turkey gravy and eggs and I found it to be yummy and very filling.
It was nice to go to a clean restaurant with good food and happy employees. We would definitely consider going there again if we came out this way.
First time at First Bite! And I loved it! Now listen, I was under the impression that this was a vegan restaurant, s I was pretty surprised when I looked at the menu... However I was still able to modify the Italian/Veggie Skillet to fit my needs. Food was really good, atmosphere was awesome with pretty good music, good decaf coffee with non-dairy creamer, & our server was great with accommodating all our requests! Will definitely be back!!!
