Food is GREAT!!!!!! Always spend a lot of money when I go here to bring home extra. Also the Mild and Hot Sauce is the BEST!!!! Make sure you buy your own bottle especially mild because they don’t give you enough of it….

This place is amazing, it's a family tradition to go here! My whole family has been going before I was born and I still will go in and get stuff! Everything on the menu is delicious... I usually get a Sancho with chips, combo nacho and a taco burger. Make sure to get extra hot sauce, not a fan of the mild but my mom loves it!

What an amazing hidden gem; with tasty tacos & nachos. Don’t be deter by the location or building, promise this is legit. It’s a small dinning area and I notice many patrons coming and going while I enjoyed my lunch. You ordered at the counter, the staff is super engaging and friendly. The food is a home run; crispy tacos was excellent with flavorful ground beef topped with fresh ingredients and the sauce is addictive lol. (Also available for purchase) I tried both the mild and jalapeño and simply put, it was great on my palate. Also had the flat nacho combo which is a flat corn tortilla with beans, meat and cheese and sauce (order more than one). This is a cash only establishment so make sure to have enough for the second order lol

Wow it's been so long since I've been here. Can't believe I could actually forget about a place I loved so much .that's what happens when you move away . But ya best food great service. Personally I've always had a positive experience at taco villle.
Jamie Drake
The best hamburger meat you can buy! They put that .eat on everything and it is delicious! The only issue with the restaurant is the location. Not the best spot to place a business.

I have loved this place since I was a child. Their taco burgers are awesome and I love their homemade hot sauce. I've never been disappointed when going to eat here.
Micheal Hannifan
Something about this food was really good. Its just tacos and whatnot but it was so good.
Chasen Shaw
Yes. Lunch? Dinner? Yes! Location isn't perfect with enormous potholes on city streets in front, but that's the only negative. It's a perfect hole-in-the-wall Mexican fast dine-in experience. The chili burrito is great. It's all great! Closed Sunday and Monday.
Charles Parker
Cheap and perfect for what it is. TACOS!

Don't be fooled by the location, or the look of the joint. This is good food. The portions were generous for the prices, which is dirt cheap. Me and my companion ate our fill for under 10 bucks. The presentation wasn't great, but I'm throwing this place into the "greasy spoon" category, so that comes part and parcel. The staff was very welcoming, which I love. And I also loved the decor. The only thing keeping me from giving that 5th star is the location. It's so out of the way, but the place has been there ages, so I can forgive this. It's just a shame that I never have occasion to get to the south side. Otherwise this would be a haunt of mine.

Best little hole in the wall joint you'll ever find. The food is crazy good! Prices are from the 2000s I swear. Haven't seen a price increase in the 30+years I've been going there. They really should build a new place but maybe the ambience helps the flavor?

Best place you will ever eat and the bestest people you will ever meet and know they are great restaurant and great loving respectable people and they know their customers by name not by name or money I have been eating there since I was about 6 years old and I'm 40 years old now so that has to say something about the place and the people.Once you eat and go there you will always go and never stop.
Michelle Hoover
The food is great on price and taste great. It's really fast too

I rarely come here but when I do, I enjoy it everytime. Good food, a short wait and friendly staff. Can't ask for too much else.
Quentin Bomgardner
Simple but fresh well priced Mexican food standards.
Bonnie Kingsley
Love this little hole in the wall. Great food, simple menu, great prices. Don't go if you want atmosphere. If they are busy, it takes a while to get the food, but it's fresh and made right there behind the counter where you can see. If you call ahead, it will be ready in 15-20 minutes.

Tacoville..... Where do I start?

This place is on the south side of OKC. And it is in an old strip mall. When you walk inside. It looks really old and ran down. The ceiling tile are so discolored with age and grease. A lot of folks won’t eat there because of this.

But that doesn’t stop me!

I usually go do a combo nacho (Which is pretty much a tostada at most places) and a meat burrito. The meat burrito has a whole bunch of flavor from their meat and sauce concoction. They also put extra cheese in it.
The combo nachos are the best. There really is no way to explain the taste of Tacoville. If you can brave the storefront looking old and decrepit, the. You will be in for a treat.

I know what you're thinking, you're looking at the reviews to see if someone has been stabbed here yet. That's exactly what I was thinking when I was told about it. Well, I can say I successfully visited this establishment with no harm to myself or wife. You walk in, and realize rather quickly from the decor and the warm smile from the lady at the counter that this will probably turn out to be an enjoyable experience. After staring at the menu for 10 minutes, not from the vast variety of items, but because everything just sounds so good, we ordered. Keep it simple, a couple tacos and burritos. Pop a squat and wait for them to call your name. If you're feeling thirsty there is a vast array of adult beverages in the cooler, just like down at the corner-store that you can buy, or keep it simple with a Dr. Pepper. Food was good, chicken tacos a little plain, ground beef had a good flavor and the refried beans weren't that bad either. If you like the spice, toss on some of that homemade red sauce. Nice place, great environment, good food. Would smash again.

Don't be fooled. Great food! There's a reason the place is busy--the food is delicious and the service fast. The hot sauce is worth it! Definitely make the trip.

I've missed out since1967!!! Hot dogs are my favorite but all is good! Nice people, cool resturant

So So. Defiantly not real Mexican. It isn't bad it is just gringo Mexican. The hot sauce is the highlight. I had the Sancho.
Kristy J
Food is amazing love love love the sanchos and their sauce is great also.
Okcdiscgolf
Mr.. Been going there for forty plus years and it has always been the best... Their tacos and nachos are dddddddlish.... Not much to look at and the 'hood is not the best, but it is a diamond in the rough.... And the cheapest beer in the metro to boot
Jason Holliday
Not worth it.. I know what you're thinking. Oh, here's a place out of the way, with high reviews, let's try it. Let me help you out: Don't. I tried the Sancho & a beef taco. Both were bland, lacking in flavor, and not worth making a special trip out for. You're better off with the Bueno or Bell.
WhiskeyandPills
Tacoville :). The Sancho ! Period. The Sancho.
Tisa Warren
The food here is good. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed and it takes you back.I was skeptical but went ahead tried the hotdogs. They are great! I also had a taco and it was great as well. I would recommend tacoville to anyone who wanted Mexican that was a little different from the same ole Mexican restaurants around town. There are some different but good menu choices. I'll be going back to try more.

THE BEST DANG HOT DOGS IN OKC.....................................
Stephany Dellitt McKay
Love this place. My grandmother has had me comming here longer than I can remember.....I love thier food. I swear its the best place to eat in OKC...=) The old metal cars have been above the beer coolers forever...=) Hot sauce IS the best round...Dont ever shut down...=)
MichelleS
Delicious! Looks are so deceiving. Every single time I take new friends here, I get a laugh at their initial impression. The place looks like such a dive. But when they get their food, they Dive right in, everytime. The meat is savory. It is real meat, not a taco-chain's nasty 'meat-product'. The ingredients are quality and not-expensive. The sauces are a big hit. (My favorite is the habanero.) For Military in uniform, drinks are free. Bonus. I call this place a hole-in-the-wall, diamond in the rough. Now, how do I go anout nominating this place for a spot on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives?
Dan
Great, has been forever.. I grew up eating here and its as good as ever. Best hot sauce on the planet, and you can buy bottles to go for cheap.

The crowd can be shady at times, but thats what helps to make this place one-of-a-kind. You can literally dine between a lawyer in a suit and a dude who probably sleeps in a box.

My favorites are the sanchos, nachos, tacos, and they have some of the best guacamole you'll ever eat (Wed. and Fri. only on the guac).

They have a good special every day (with soda or beer) and they also have excellent iced tea with fresh lemon and limes.

Service is friendly and to the point from salt-of-the-earth type ladies.

Love this place.
Caitlin5
I love it and the tacosauce alone is incredible
JohnnyV
Awsom as always! Best tacoburger around.i always get two tacoburgers, one taco all with sourcream and a large ice tea and it only cost me 5.55 for a great lunch
Shady K
Can't go wrong with Tacoville. Just went again for lunch, they know us by name, we order "the usual" (Big Yellow Burrito Supreme) and a beer !!!
I have been going to Tacoville for years and have never once had bad food /experience. They have stayed consistent with the same great simple menu
Some might be wary of the location, but go there on a weekday lunch and you will blue and white collars in the same line.
Cp
Ummmmm Good. If I get anywhere near there, I go by and spend everything I have. Great tacos, nachos, etc. Even their jalapenos are just right. Not fancy, just good. Best guacamole on Wed. and Fri. until they run out. No tomatoes in the restaurant. I hate tomatoes. I love me some Tacoville !!!!!!

This place is off the chain! Everything on the menu is great.
Mike Brookshier
ITS GREAT. They have the BEST Sanchos, BEST hot sauce, Best tortias in the city!! Its ONE of Oklahomas hidden treasures that most folks don't know anything about!!!
Mesocyclone
It's okay.. This is fast-food texmex. if you're looking for street tacos, which by now most of us know are a whole other animal, this is the right part of town but the wrong hole in the wall. so, it's not fair to compare this place to other taco stands around the south side. better to compare it to taco hell. and it wins that comparison going away.

the food is sort of nondescript... you know what this stuff is, it's a tortilla with meat, beans, or meat and beans. it tastes good, but there's really not much else to say about it. cash only here, but there's an ATM on site. smart thinking, management. and the salsas they make are really good.

this occupies the space between "tired of the same two/three texmex places all the time" and "don't want to go to a sit-down mexican restaurant" and "grew up on texmex, street tacos don't work for me." i didn't know there was a need there but there is and this works.

Beats the trucks and the northside corp. mexican joints. This hole in the wall place has been here for 40 years and still the same as day one, I have eat there for that long and it is well worth the trip across the river, it is in a scary section of town but i have never seen any trouble there. Cold beer and a bowl of chili & beans are a combo plate is great. and the best beer togo prices in town.
Pat
Not so good. Menu lists items as beef, or meat, used interchangeably, (dont plan on any chicken enchiladas). The beans were very bland. Basically Americanized Mexican food. If you want real mexican food, keep looking .Am unsure how they get such a good rating.

Best of the Best. Tacoville is a legend. Simply put, it is the best traditional American taco joint you can find anywhere. And that's exactly what you get, a taste of the authentic taco joints that used to be everywhere. Don't go looking for sopes, tortas, or the traditional mexican tacos packed with onion, cillantro, and some al pastor or lengua (that's a totally different category unto itself), because it's strictly American style tacos, burritos and nachos at the restaurant that the gods of the south side must have constructed.
Tacoville has been around for a while, as I remember walking from my parents bakery at grant square shopping center down to "Ron's Tacoville" back around 1978-1980. That place went out of business long ago, and I was denied the Tacoville experience until I re-discovered them at the location at Airline Shopping Center around 1991. Don't let the neighborhood or the characters around there un-nerve you, this place is worth it. There are nostalgic places such as Los Tacos which are similar to Tacoville and can boast that they've been around since 1972 and have a similar menu, but they just don't stack up to the god-like powers of Tacoville. When you first walk in, the smell is the first thing that greets you, and it still puts a smile on my face and fills my head with nostalgia. There hang antique gas station signs and memoriabilia on the walls that one could get confused and think that they had just walked into a museum built to house beer distributor advertising over the years. No doubt, these are the trophies that Tacoville has accumulated for selling more domestic beer than most stop & rob convenience stores over the years . It's no wonder, because their "ice-cold beer-to-go" case stretches pretty much the entire length of the eating area. They sell the cheapest domestic beer around and even cigarettes (I miss the smell of smoke-filled diners and cafes around the city). You can even order the Tacoville special which comes with a longneck of your choice. You get the feeling of walking into a revered establishment the likes of Chuck Yeager or John Wayne might have stepped into out in the Mojave desert with their buddies fifty years ago.
What gives Tacoville their A-number one top place among traditional taco fare has to start with their blend of taco meat which is a basic component of nearly everything on the menu. There's nothing like it anywhere. It has such a fresh, full and meaty flavor about it, that the smell is un-mistakable and gives the entire restaurant it's trademark smell. You can discern tiny pieces of onion within the strata of meat, and that's about it. There's some kind of binder that makes the meat really stick together that I've never been able to figure out. It allows the taco meat to be sculpted into any form the good ladies behind the counter wish. Never dry, it can leave its signature orange, greasy trail on most anything it touches and force you to smell it for the remainder of the day (not unlike the effect of some primal pheremone). I can figure out most spices and secrets with most of the food I consume and reproduce it at home, but I cannot for the life of me figure out the secret of the Tacoville recipe. Combinations of this meat are found inside their burritos, tacos, nachos, and enchiladas making it fun to order, as if trying to pick and arrange your favorite Saturday morning cartoon lineup of all time. My standy is the meat burrito, straightforward with loads of meat and fresh cheddar cheese rolled in their yellow egg-flour tortillas. Add refried beans to that basic burrito and you have the combo burrito. The tops for most has to be the sancho with beef, cheese, sour cream and lettuce (that's never bitter and never wilted). My favorite is the taco burger or the taco chili burger. These have become an endangered species at most big chains or are just sub-par at most. Tacoville's buns are better than most any hamburger stand as they are the freshest I've ever sampled and really complement their meat and cheese along with lettuce and a splash of their hot sauce. Nachos also, are straightforward with a round and flat wonderfully crisp cornmeal tortilla with combinations of meat, cheese, beans. and jalapenos topped with some taco sauce. Tacos, the trademark in the name, have the same fresh & tasty cornmeal in the form of a taco shell that cradles the succulent taco meat waiting for your mouth along with crisp lettuce and more of that wonderfully fresh cheddar. I've had the enchilada dinners and they are equally on the same ground as the rest of the fare on the menu. The thing that completely surprised me by far was their hot dog, which just shouldn't be on the menu of a taco place, but seems to be a staple of the old guard of OKC taco places. It is on par with the best chili dog I know of which belongs to Coit's and Del Rancho, perhaps due to Schwab's Meat?
Any way you stack Tacoville up, they are simply the best at what they do, which is to make the best food they possibly can and sell it to whoever wants it. What you're left with, is long lunch lines and very happy patrons that come back to the same great food year after year.

Better than any taco truck !!. I have been a customer of this beer stop/ taco joint for more years than I can count !!
Cheapest beer in town ! (to go)
Blue collar, white collar and no collar crowd at lunch !!
BEST BURRITOS anyplace !!
You get a burrito about the size your bi-cep for under three dollars .
They use the the big 12" egg flour tortillas to roll them up.
I have sent tons of people to this little out of the way place and never heard a complaint.
Buy some extra burritos to take home.
They are great nuked the next day !
Tacos and taco burgers as well as everything else they serve is terrific. (even the hot dogs !)
Way better than Taco Hell or any other fast food Mexican joint you can think of.
The only thing I don't like about Tacoville is the business hours. Closed on Sunday and Monday,
They close before dark ! (and after going through the neighborhoods to get there you will understand why ! )
Enjoy!!

They now have an Atm. Best tacos, Best burritos, Best hot sauces, great people and they have an atm inside now this just might be heaven.
Byzantime
Get the sweet habenaro sauce (orange). I love this place and tell everyone I know about it. Like someone said, there is nothing better than taking a newbie there. My only complaint is that they don't take credit cards and I rarely have cash and don't want to spend the time, effort or sometimes surcharge to get cash just to go there so I don't get to go very often.

Love it!!!. They have the best sanches, tacos & nacho supreme!!! And the hot sauce is to die for!!! the food , people and the price is just right!!!! A good place to go!!!

TV!!. This place is great. No frills at all and the cheapest Beer in town by far!

I get a nacho supreme, a hot dog, and a chili taco burger.

If you go on Wednesdays, you have to try the guac salad.

And I have to agree with T.Parrish here. Taking TV virgins here is always a good time!! Gotta love Verna, and you better get your order before she has to say your name twice!

Good, cheap food, cheap beer, down to earth dive full of character, nothin fancy but good, cheap fun!!!

Great Tacos. If I'm going strictly for tacos, this is where I go, although everything on the menu is good, they do a lot of take out, it's a quick and easy place to stop in and grab a bag of goodness at a very reasonable price. Viva la Ville !!!

T. V.. About once a month the urge to drive to the South Side and pick up Sanchos, Tacos, Combo Burritos, Taco Bugers, and maybe a Tostada builds up and before you know the entire office is gearing up for The "VILLE". On rotaion every other time to pick up, I glady look forward to the expeirence of wainting in line for moment ordering about 40.00 worth of "VILLE" and having a refreshing long neck while people watching waiting for the 10 lbs of South Side goodness. Not the best place for a first date but a great place for a tenth date! Its all good!
Munk
Tacos and BEER!. What do you get when you cross a taco shop with a convenience store? Well, it sort of looks like Tacoville. Tacoville is a no-frills place where you can load up on tasty Tex-Mex and grab a case of beer. I have to give it up to DJ Foil for letting me know about TV. The Sancho, Tacos, Tostadas and the "taco burger" all taste good. The hot sauce is awesome, made fresh daily. Low prices and good food/beer = Happiness

Have to try the chile burrito dinner!!!! And u can't go wrong with there hot sauce. It so good I had to buy some to take home!!!

Good fast food Mexican w/o the franchise. I love taking Tacoville virgins here. It is a bit of a dive, but I have been quite a few times. Small place, very good food, easy on the wallet, easy access off I-44 South.

You will see mostly blue collar with some white collar patrons. Doesn't matter ... everyone is after the burritos, tostadas, tacos with the homemade hot sauce.

BTW I think it has been in business for 20 years!

LOVE THIS PLACE!. Great food, great price, great service, great sauce! Love it!! It is gringa mexican fast food. My son absolutely loved the chili dogs. Pick you up a 12 pk. of your favorite beer on your way out of this seedy goldmine in da' hood!!!
