Review Couscous Cafe - Oklahoma City

Took my son there for his birthday 🎂 the food was so good, the hummus was great, we even ordered another order, the tea went so well with our meals, they wished my son happy birthday 🎈our desserts were so good. So thin. So flaky the whole visit was wonderful. The chicken & lamb was prepared so good & juicy. It was great for our group. It was only $56. I was really surprised. We will go there more, This is our new restaurant.

Delicious food! Eating here in person really made me want to learn more about Morocco and the culture and history! The food portions are really big. The quality of food is very high! You really do feel like part of the family here. The mint hot tea was super delish! There are lots of options for vegans or vegetarians. The hummus is amazing! I had the vegetable cous cous special and it was really good as well! Highly recommend!

Cous Cous Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants that I’ve frequented over the last decade. The Moroccan inspired Mediterranean food is unique and flavorful. The owners are incredibly nice and the service is consistently good. Highly recommend.

Ordered the lamb plate from the charcoal kabob platters. One of the juiciest and delicious meat i've tasted in Oklahoma. Worth the price. The half and half sugar mint tea compliments the lamb plate very well. I think it's worth the money. Will be back.

Just moved here from Houston- a melting pot of a city with great food. In my opinion, there are not a lot of great ethnic food places in Oklahoma City. However, Cous Cous was so good, I’d say they would not only compete but also excel in a place like Houston. Highly recommend. I give this 100 out of ten.

My only regret is not checking out this place sooner. The food is fresh, tasty, well-seasoned and made perfectly. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The baklava was the best I’ve had in a long time. Was surprised it was so quiet on a weekend afternoon, seems like a hidden gem that everyone should know about!

I hadn’t tried this place before but do food deliveries on platforms thru them and it was thanksgiving and not much open. My wife and I had the gyro plates. Their meat is unlike any other. It has a spice to it I enjoyed and I typically don’t do spicy. It gave the meat flavor. Most Mediterranean food places the meat is plain. I’ll definitely be back when I’m on that side of town

This place is wonderful I ate lamb with vegetables. Delicious. Their little bakery counter is great, the almond cake is a rich creamy delight. This is not a fast food place, but a sit and chat while food is being cooked may take a little bit, have some amazing Mint tea.

It was my first time & I was a guest for lunch. I had no idea what to try but the lamb with vegetables was absolutely delicious...tender & juicy filled with amazing tastes & aromas. The chicken was perfect! I was stuffed but I did get a bite of one dessert which was so yummy!!! I met with the owner who was so friendly & kind!! I definitely will go back! If you want a little of paradise, then eat here!!

Edit 08.24.21: Updated to 5 stars. This place always comes through and as one of the only late night dining options I can't believe I didn't update before. They're open until 11pm I absolutely love this place. I’ve been coming here for many years and I’ve always had good experiences. I love the pick three vegan appetizer (their falafel is some of the best I’ve ever had). The tea is off the charts and the service is always friendly and helpful. I like all of the dishes I've tried there. I’m very happy that the business has grown enough (to more) than double in size since I first started visiting. I had the Oklahoma sourced lamb chops this time and they were amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone for a night out. Be sure to take home some of the almond cookies home, they are impressive. This is a locally owned business. Spend your time and money with small businesses!

The food was ok. It was later in the day when some friends and I stopped in. I'm more adventurous and like to try diffrent foods. I ate a lamb gyro. It was good. Not the nest inhale ever had but good. My friends all ordered chicken off the kids menu and they said it was "good". Service was good. Place was clean.

This understated Morrocan restaurant has a good selection of salads, platters, Tagine, and kabobs. You will find sandwiches and burritos, some with a Morrocan ingredients and flavors. I recommend starting with a nice hot bowl of Harira; Moroccan soup with tomato, noodles, fresh herbs, and chickpeas. We tried the Lamb plate because I was curious about the seasoning. The meat wasn't as flavorful but pairs well with the salad, rice, and cucumber sauce. Will visit again to try their Tagines.

Great service and delicious food. A chicken gyro wasn’t listed on the menu but they were kind enough to make it for me. The lamb in my boyfriend’s salad was tender and juicy. The stuffed cabbage leaves were great too. :-)

What an amazing experience, every time. The owner purchases local meats, quality is top notch. Desserts are all made in-house as well. Service is amazing and food is very flavorful. Always a happy environment and happy belly. Highly recommended every single time.. thank you for serving us quality Moroccan and mediterranean food.

This place does not get the traffic it deserves. The lamb tagine was so lovely. The spices were everything I'd expect from a Morrocan place. The atmosphere is a bit run down but if you overlook that the food is worth every second you are there.

The food was very very tasty. There were very few people when I came so the service was very quick. They were very nice to explain the items on the menu and are able to change some things for you to accommodate whatever you would like. The mint tea is delicious albeit sweet – be forewarned it’s sweet. I will definitely be coming back. Reasonably priced

One of my favorite places to go. The owner is so friendly and is there probably 95% of the time that I go in; my brother and I visit on a semi-regular basis. When I take people on "food adventures", our first excursion is to the Cous Cous Cafe. So far, everyone I've ever taken there has fallen in love with the cuisine and friendly staff. I'd give the place ten stars if I could. Seriously, if you haven't gone yet, get off Facebook and drive on over!

The best falafel in OKC! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but chicken schwarma is my favorite. I hear they will be opening for breakfast soon - this makes me so happy! #morrocanhottea #turkishcoffee

MashaAllah the place is very clean, the food is so good. The interior decor made me feel that I am in Morocco. The owner was very kind and friendly. Great customer service. I recommend it 100%. Keep up the great work. May Allah bless you and your business. Amen

My favorite place to eat. I love there tea!!! Hot or cold it is awesome. Best place in town for Mediterranean. The wait staff is amazing.

Really good food and service. We had the chicken schwarma and hot Morrocan tea. They have remodeled fairly recently and greatly expanded their seating, although the ambiance is not quite as intimate. My only negative comment would be that the two girls working were not very friendly and could have smiled and acted more gracious. It was almost as if they were being put out that we were there. Maybe they were wanting to close, but we got there an hour before closing. Other than that, it was great! I would like to add that the waitstaff is usually very friendly, so not sure what was up last night. I do recommend it!!!

I loved their tea. I ordered chicken shawarma plate . It was very good . Waitress was new so she was saying the wrong names of the orders but the ordered were correct . Place was nice and clean. Prices are very good too. I tried their Hummus too and it was very delicious.

Our daughter introduced us to Cous Cous Cafe and we have returned many times. Authentic Moroccan Mediterranean foods, perfectly prepared, eye appealing presentations and delicious to the last bite. It's not uncommon to see customers inquiring about different items but the bottom line is that EVERYTHING here is great! Enjoy their MOROCCAN TEA...hot or iced while your meal is prepared. Both ways are great! It's slightly sweet, uniquely flavored and good for you. I enjoy it hot. My husband enjoys it iced. Both are delicious. You can buy the tea dry to prepare and enjoy at home and we often do. Lentil soup is home made, spices balance perfectly and it's delicious! I love their lamb kabob platter. It can be hard to find lamb on the menu anywhere and when you do it normally is tough and disappointing. But Cous Cous Lamb is cooked tender and delicious. Served over yellow rice with a Moroccan Salad that rounds out a healthy and filling meal. We are not dessert people but the selections look great and not ordinary. We Highly Recommend Cous Cous Cafe!

My sister said, "If this hummus and hot bread are any indication of what's to come, then this is gonna be really good." We had the lamb couscous, kaftka, schwarma, guyro and chicken kabob. Everything was superb! Mixed feelings on the tea (hubby wasn't expecting the mint flavor but everyone else loved it). Took some baklava home. I couldn't find fault with anything! Also, the prices were very reasonable. Five stars!!!

This was some of the very best middle eastern food I've ever had in the USA!

First time and it was amazing. The owner is very friendly and the food is outstanding. Wonderful place.

First time in. Beautiful place. Friendly and attentive waitstaff. Ordered chicken shawarma and couscous salad. Food tasted amazing. Incredibly fresh and aesthetically pleasing.

First of all, it is a quaint little cafe, not extravagant looking and it has a very casual ambiance, but the cuisine, the service, the Moroccan music and atmosphere, the deserts, and of course, the Moroccan tea, make it so wonderful that any initial concerns, due to the lack of visual luster, vanish and I leave full and happy. This might be the best kept secret restaurant in OKC, although it has become surprisingly well known. It is as easy to order take out as it is to dine in, which is great, and finally, there is a great variety and something for everyone and the prices are supremely reasonable if not cheap for the quality of cuisine. Overall, a 10/10 in my opinion. The food is healthy and delicious. The service and wait time are both quick and even even it's packed full the service is still very impressive. I love places where you can sit and enjoy great food and tea until late at night. You can easily take your family of 8 people, get quick service and great, healthy food within approx 10 minutes, and your bill is under $75. I can't think of a better value and everything about the place keeps getting better every time I go. Highly recommended even for lunch hour!
