Review Packard's New American Kitchen - Oklahoma City

It was good. Not the best I've ever had, but good. We will go back. The Mimosas go down easy, lol. The hashbrowns are weird (dry/crispy) and I wasn't prepared for that (don't order those). Service is good and staff is friendly.

This is my favorite Brunch spot! The staff is so sweet. I CRAVE the food. Plus they have a great drink menu. Kyler and Gavin are so amazing. They never miss. Don’t hesitate you have to eat here! They also have a great Dinner menu. Wonderful selection. Amazing for ANY occasion. 10/10

visited for a friends bday! breakfast board was delicious. service was not great. took a very long time to get drinks and food out. server seemed overwhelmed with big party. atmosphere was nice. will return for dinner

This is one of the best brunch spots in Oklahoma City! I have never came here and left unsatisfied. Their food is delicious and the service is great. They have a great brunch menu and drink/wine menu that is friendly to meat eaters, vegans, and vegetarians! There’s options for everyone that won’t disappoint! I recommend making reservations as they can get pretty busy during brunch.

In an old Packard car dealership location, this restaurant has character bursting out of its walls. There is a beautiful church next door with very interesting architecture and statues. The food was excellent. I had the Buddha Bowl and added some chicken for protein. Wifey and I split the spinach salad which was very light and tasty.

I’m a tourist outside of Oklahoma and this place was my blind pick due to the highly rated reviews.. And It did not disappoint a single moment that I was here. Aside from the clean, modern places, and the refreshing smell. The food was the BOMB and the best part. I will make this not so over exaggerated statement : “If I could lick the plates I would.” Everything was extremely tasty and the prices was also very affordable . I could eat at this places every day had I ever lived here.

First time visitor to Packard's and it did not disappoint. This is kind of an upscale, yet ok to go casual place downtown with absolutely delicious food. Being from Seattle where I can get fresh salmon at Pike Place Market, I'm very picky about my salmon. However their grilled salmon was grilled to perfection and juicy. My grilled vegetables were the perfect texture and well-seasoned. I also love that they allow you to substitute whatever you want so I have the creamed succotash instead of rice. I also took pics of the wonderful dishes the rest of my party had (Blackened Swordfish, Lemon Rosemary Chicken, Braised Short Ribs and a Buddha Bowl w/a Grilled Salmon Fillet). They thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. To top off our meals, the Arnold Palmer's were perfectly mixed as well.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch. Katy was our server. She made sure our lunch was 5 star worthy. We had the burger and the chopped salad followed by donut bread pudding. We had some dietary restrictions that Katy adjusted for us. We can not wait to return. They make their ice cream in house. So we already decided our next dessert will be banana coffee cake.

The atmosphere is nice, the apple bottom drink was really REALLY good if you like sweet drinks, and the salmon was amazing. The service was really spectacular, and the sourdough was bomb!

This bruch was so good! Went for a Bachelorette Bash and the staff was super friendly, we didn't have to wait for a table and the food was prepared quickly. Had the avocado toast, side of sausage, and the OKCoffee! The avocado toast had great crispy sourdough bread with sweet balsamic vinegar glaze on top of fresh arugula, tomatoes, cheese and sunflower seeds! Perfect way to start off the morning! All the food my friends received were amazingly good and we'd recommend any of the plates to try!

My favorite meal on my work trip to OKC. Got the pork chop with jalapeño cheddar gets. Absolutely amazing. Neat bar area and spot. Parking isn’t the easiest but well worth the effort. I will most definitely repeat this place.

Great service, delicious food. Basmati Rice is on 3 of their menus but unfortunately it does not pair properly. I tried with Salmon, the dish could have been good even without the rice. The carrots and bokchoy were amazing. Salmon was a little under cooked. Pistachio Mousse is a.must have it. Other people on the table ordered the Corn cake with Ice Cream and I took a couple of bites and it was awesome.
Sarah Marshall
Neat place, atmosphere is cool and laid back. Food is good and i love that it is local and not a massive chain. Their brunch is good on Sundays and didn't have a stupid long line.

The meal was great from start to finish. If you enjoy mezcal any their chapalita libation is marvelous and well balanced. The fresh sourdough is worthwhile. The Brussel sprouts were good, the bacon in it made the dish. The blackened redfish on a bed of risotto with crawfish etoufee around it!! I was ready to lick the plate clean. The donut bread pudding dessert was a great twist on a classic! Thank you Jessica for being a 5 star server tonight for my birthday!! You went above and beyond!!

Good food and service. A bit pricey for an Oklahoma restaurant. Most likely due to the location.

I guess they changed cooks. We used to go there all the time, but we went there last Saturday and it was awful. The roasted chicken was dry and swimming in potatoes that were more like soup than whipped. The salmon appetizer tasted like it came off a truck tire. The jalapeno cheese grits were bland on the pork chop my wife had. I tipped the waiter 20% because it wasn't his fault the food was as bad as I have ever had. The bill was $72.00 for the two of us. Cramped seating and kids running the place. No adults anywhere running the place. Never again. Plus there was a nauseating smell coming from somewhere. These trendy places are getting worse for service and quality. I'm not booking anymore OpenTable joints again. I may go back to the tried and true places that have been around for years. It is a shame when you can get a better meal for 1/4 the price elsewhere or stay at home an out-cook all of them.

I was very excited about this place because it has great potential. The view is amazing but everything else was awful. The food was mediocre at best. My friends filet was cooked wrong and mine was extremely dry. The service was awful and they kept saying sorry we have a big party. I will not be back, even for the view
Charlene Ashley
Tall table was awful, I continuously slid off the seat. Ordered salmon, received chicken; since we were attending a play we did not have enough time to wait for order to be corrected. The bill was not even adjusted, charged in full for the chicken that was not wanted nor eaten. The experience was poor, the food was ok, the high top chairs were ridiculous.

I'm a huge fan of everything about this place, from the great food to the first rate service. The rooftop is a great place to entertain and the menu has something for everyone. The seasonal brussel sprouts are the best I've ever had and the crab beignets are unforgettable.

Great place! Sat at the bar until our table was ready. All the staff were very nice and courteous. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. All of our orders came out correct. Drinks were spot on! The food was great! Not a problem with anything! Would recommend to anyone!
John Cox
The plate was so hot it would burn your fingers, but sadly the food was not! It was as if they put cold food on a hot plate. They still get 5 stars, because the taste of the food and the service was phenomenal!

Quite simply, one of our new favorite OKC restaurants. We’ve been there for both brunch and dinner, and the food and drinks have been excellent. We’ve had uniformally good service, without hovering servers inquiring, mid bite, “how is everything tasting?” Clue: if I’m eating it, I like it.
Wynita Harmon
Food was amazing! But sadly had a bad experience with a waiter, first time for such an experience and it did put a damper on our Mother's Day brunch with his tone and confrontational manner with a made up excuse for his lack of service. The assistant manager tried to help by giving us a certificate for next time and we do appreciate that...so unfortunate because the food is amazing but the server did put a damper on our meal. Would of been a 5 if not for the servers behavior today.

15 top at 6pm. Everything was fantastic. Solid food, exceptional service. Will be back. Thanks !
Janet Glunn Backhaus
We have been to Packards about three times now, enjoyed sitting at the bar better than at the tables. Better service ...better reception from staff at the bar. Also the metal chairs in the dining room are very painful to sit in.
Leilani Prince
Ate our brunch on the rooftop where there was no hour and fifteen minute wait. The view was fabulous as was the drinks, food and service. Will definately visit again soon!!
Julie Crahan Griffin
5 stars across the board! The food is fabulous, the service is sensational, and the atmosphere is astounding! Highly highly recommend!

Best Martini in town! I eat here every couple of months and it’s never a disappointment. Last nights Filet was cooked to perfectly! Not a single complaint from the entire group. Try the desserts!
Pary Moppins
Cool venue and the bar looked great. The drinks were interesting- just enough of a twist on classics without going over the top - and the bartender executed them well. The food was okay. The aesthetic was cool but in going for the look, they lost some practicality. For instance, the bar is a little close to the surrounding tables and groups larger than six are not really taken into consideration for seating.

Packards is a great restaurant in midtown. I love the atmosphere. Their brunch is pretty good, but I believe there is not enough of a selection, but everything I have eaten has been very good. The rooftop is a very fun atmosphere, and the service has always been impeccable. My only doing would be the lack of food selection.
Anna Mitchell
This is my absolute favorite place for brunch! I have never had anything that I didn't like. The crunch-berry french toast is amazing! This is always my go-to when deciding where to eat with friends.

As we sat at the bar for lunch, my inner car buff was imagining shiny new Packard autos in this former showroom. My wife ordered the Piggy sandwich with crispy onion rings which she proclaimed a delight to the palate. My blackened catfish sandwich was good but started tasting a little too"fishy" (I know, I know) the last two or three bites. The side "Chopped" salad was a work of art and well presented. The artichokes are an innovative addition which highlight a mity tasteeee salad. Several draft and bottled beers are on tap along with mixed drinks. And copper-cupped mules!

Ate there for the first time today. Pleasantly surprised at the quality and lunch choices. The lunch menu had varied dishes, even a breakfast choice, and very affordable. The online menu scared me away all this time because of the prices. Apparently the menu changes from time to time. Staff was friendly and helpful. We got the brussel sprouts for an appetizer and they were the best I've ever had-cashews, candied bacon, thinly sliced jalepenos and a balsamic glaze. Will definitely get them again. The house salad with the maple dressing was really tasty and filling. Of course the pumpkin cheese cake for dessert was awesome! I'll definitely be back!

Packards is a unique, chic restaurant choice in OKC. The decor is nice and the atmosphere makes you feel comfortable and ready to enjoy a nice dinner. Everything we ordered was good but it was pretty pricey for the taste. The rooftop is a great place to hang out and enjoy complimentary snacks and a nice drink with a view. I would recommend it more for that over dinner. There are so many good dinner options in OKC, I can't say that Packards is one of the top that comes to mind but it is one of the best for evening drinks outdoors.
Okiewebie
The food and service are good but we had to wait 30 minutes after ordering before we were served. Ample parking across the street. Went for lunch but the bar looked well stocked so the after-work crowd must be great.
April Belt
Wonderful food, atmosphere and drinks. The rooftop is one of the best, if not the best, rooftop in OKC. Ideal for nice evenings. The restaurant gets very busy so be sure to get there early or make a reservation. They've maintained a lot of the original structure and design, so it's very chic. Great date night or brunch option too!

Everything here is a delicious and the service is always great. Steak is cooked to perfection, desserts are always divine. Appetizers are also all good. You pretty much can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
Nicholas Zoller
We ate here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were given a complimentary scoop of their birthday cake ice cream to celebrate the occasion. It was like cookie dough ice cream because there were chunks of birthday cake embedded in the ice cream. Overall, it tasted remarkably like birthday cake.

We started out with the crab beignets. These were stuffed full with lump crab meat in a mild tasting mayonnaise. We thought that the dipping sauce served with the beignets was the same as the sauce used to bind the crab. The batter had the slightly sour taste that you expect from beer batter.

She got the pork chop entree. She was happy with the thickness and the amount of doneness (still pink inside). She also enjoyed the jalapeno cheddar grits and broccolini. I went for the lamb shank special with farro verde and curry cauliflower puree. The lamb shank was tender and generous in size. We got two more meals out of it after we took it home. The farro was a mildly spicy because of whatever green food they added to it. The curry in the cauliflower puree was also mildly spicy.

Both entrees were well presented on the plates.

We will return to try more of the menu items.

Packards was everything I expected. For months I've been wanting to go to brunch and I was finally able to go. The coffee cocktails with cold brew are incredible. We had the breakfast board appetizer and I have the fried chicken biscuit with pimento cheese. The food and service were great, I definitely recommend this place. They do accept reservations.
FinickyFeederNOKC
If there's one thing that Packard's understands incredibly well it is astute service for finicky people like myself. That said I don't go here for the food. I go there for drinks and for snacks which accompany those drinks. This is a great spot to meet with someone for a casual evening cocktail. There charcuterie is always exceptional as are most of the other appetizer dishes on the menu. As mentioned before the service is exceptional and I have more than a few times been able to get dishes which were not on the menu prepared for the table. Their cocktails are truly the highlight and in that arena they are doing some very sophisticated things. Their bartenders have a very good understanding of the spirits and the wines that they serve and they are great at helping you pair up your food choices if you decide to have a little bite.
The Other Guy
This is the most overpriced bad food in OKC's constant line up of restaurants. I'm truly amazed that it stays open when there are so many better choices. You'd be wise to spend $100 elsewhere. Sorry, your rooftop doesn't give you a pass.
KelsterOKC
Love the environment and always great service. Great rooftop deck. But the food ... just odd with no payoff. Brunch is better, but for breakfast food, still just ok. Lunch = Jerk Chicken Sandwich with burnt, tough pita bread and soggy 'grilled' chicken. Avocado and some sort of mayonnaise dressing that just tasted BAD. Fries are ok. I just think a few steps down and you can get a really great burger at The Garage.

I tried Packard's for the first time a couple of weeks ago at lunch. I was on the back end of the lunch hour so the place was pretty quiet. I thought the décor was nice--big high ceilings, big picture windows all around, light wood, a big inviting bar, contemporary and classy, but not stuffy. I asked the server for recommendations and she said the Red Lentil Curry was a very popular dish and since it was both healthy and spicy I couldn't say no. It was served piping hot with lots of veggies, still nice and crisp and a curry seasoning that got my sinuses open. I liked it and want to go back for dinner next time I'm in town.

My friend and I had an excellent dining experience when we visited for lunch. Our server, Jessica, was knowledgeable and friendly. We had the smoked salmon as an appetizer and the buttermilk pie for dessert. As our entrees I had the philly and he had shrimp and grits. Everything was delicious. My philly was hands down the best philly cheesesteak I've had in OKC. I will definitely be back and will be telling friends to try this restaurant. Good service, good food, good price, and a nice environment.

Subpar Lunch. We tried Packard's today for lunch and were underwhelmed. First server ignored is so another server took is then they moved us. Had to ask for water refills and then endured greasy onion rings and tough duck.

Think we'll enjoy other options rather than try this again.

Packard's Burger. Add Egg and a side of Apple Slaw

Wonderful. The service was absolutely wonderful (our waiters name was Caleb). Very prompt and polite, and the food was to die for.

We ordered the Grilled Salmon, and Ribeye, both cooked perfectly. And the pastry chef Brianna sent out a cheese tray that was too pretty to eat.

I will definitely be coming back.

Not Impressed.. Some friends and I went here last night and the place is pretentious. It's expensive and the food is blah. I would not recommend or go back. It's definitely not worth the prices on the menu.

Wonderful Date Night. Went for dinner about a week before Christmas for our anniversary. We were seated promptly at a window table next to the Christmas tree, with a beautiful view of downtown...nice! Hubs had a beer and I ordered the Cinnamon Whiskey Sour, which was very tasty. Started out with the Mussels with Andouille Sausage in a Smoked Tomato Broth and the House-Made Bread. Both were so delicious that we couldn't wait for our entrees, and we were not disappointed! The Pork Chop with Apple Butter and Jalapeno Cheddar Grits was one of the best pork chops I've ever eaten. The meat was moist and the apple butter added a hint of sweetness. The grits were creamy and decadent and the portion large. Husband ordered the Filet and it was equally amazing. The steak was cooked as ordered (medium) and wonderfully seasoned. The accompanying red wine reduction was delicious. There are many places in OKC to get a great steak and this was right up there with some of the best we've had. Needless to say, we were too full for dessert. Our server gave us exceptional service. I think her name was Michaeala...she wrote it on our receipt and I misplaced it, sorry to say! She was attentive without being intrusive, was well-versed in the menu and the wine list, and didn't rush us, even though the restaurant became quite busy after we were seated. So glad we hadn't read the negative reviews on this site, or we may have decided on another restaurant. We had a 5 star experience and highly recommend Packard's...we will be back!

Had a great dining experience here tonight... Had reservation for 19, but several brought parties brought an "extra ". The restaurant was booked solid, but one of the managers (Amy) was incredibly accommodating and nice to us and provided us with extra chairs. Meanwhile, our two servers (Ragan and Deanna... Sorry for the spellings, ladies , if I got it wrong) were kind, patient and couldn't have been nicer. The bartender lady. (Missed her name ) was on par with the others in niceness and professionalism. The service here, for our event, was, in a nutshell: perfect. I haven't talked to all the others about their food , but mine was good and I heard no complaints. I have been so impressed by the service tonight that I actually downloaded this app to write this review.
Kara
We have been to dinner here 2 times. Both times horribly service. Last night there was water dripping from the ceiling onto our table. We requested to move several times but they would not give us another table nor acknowledge that the drip was spattering into our food and drinks! We thought after talking to the manager that he may may make accommodations but did not even offer a discount or drink for the inconvenience.

I loved the atmosphere at Packard's, and I really wanted it to be my new favorite. Sadly, the food was mediocre at best, and definitely not worth the price.

Great time. I was nervous after reading all of the negative reviews but a group of 6 of us decided to take a chance. We had drinks on the rooftop first and it was a great way to start the evening. I must admit that the bartender was not very friendly and she charged a different amount for each round, which was odd. However, it was such a great view that it was worth it. We went downstairs for dinner and we had a wonderful meal. The wait staff could not have been better and the food was excellent. Everything from the bread starters and salads to the drinks and the entrees were good. I had the special - bacon-wrapped pork meat loaf with cheddar grits and highly recommend that they add it to the menu permanently. This evening was a treat and we will definitely go back again.

Really liked it!. So I'm not really sure why this place hasn't been getting great reviews because we had a great visit. We ate lunch with 11 people during the week. The servers were great, the food was hot and tasty. Everyone liked every dish that they had. Their in-house 'ketchup' was delicious and everything tasted fresh and from scratch. The only complaints our group had were the metal seats hurt their bums and that there were peach skins still on the peaches. Our group of ladies can be really picky, so I consider this a win if these were their only complaints. I WILL be going back!
Zach Stephens
The food and service was awful. Everything tasted old. Our biscuits were dry and our waiter came by maybe twice. One in our groups eggs had pieces of the shell in it. Will never go back overpriced for how awful it is!!!!!
Susan C.
My husband and I use Urbanspoon often and I'm glad we looked after and not before this time. Great food, service, and experience. We went for brunch and are excited to visit again for lunch or dinner. Not to mention the rooftop is always amazing!
Jprice1000
Cool building - bad food. Heres the skinny - try to sit in a booth, inner tables have very uncomfortable chairs. My tea glass stood empty several times. Ordered smoked salmon app and it wasnt sliced.. just tasted like leftover salmon smoked and reserved. Capers were just thrown on the plank and rolled everywhere. My main was wood fired chicken breast on parm risotto with asper. My chicken was super dry and had the texture of the wood..not good. My date had blah curry veggies. We had a cucumber mint italian ice for desert and it was ok. Save your money - go to Chevers for good food.
D
Mediocre food. It's hard for me to waste meals, but I couldn't finish this small and expensive portion because I didn't like it. The appetizers weren't anything to rave over and the dessert was two bites. The drinks weren't impressive either. I give it a 3.5/10 and won't be back.
Jim Hunt
Here for Mothers Day brunch. We were a few minutes early for our reservation but were seated promptly. 4 of us enjoyed the Bloody Mary bar and mimosas. Standouts were the bacon wrapped asparagus with poached eggs and the burger with onion rings. Asked for a side of hollandaise with the asparagus dish- no problem. The bacon could b improved by precooking and spiral wrapping the asparagus. Would probably crisp up a little more. The onion rings were thin and crispy and the onion was remarkably sweet.
Service was efficient and thoughtful. Portions were appropriate. We will b back!
Dee Dee
Food is delicious - cocktails are creative and very good - be patient with the order time- to table
Buzzy204
NOT IMPRESSED. Expensive and unimpressive. The grilled lasagna is chips and cheese and sauce with spinach and tomatoes. The shrimp at least we're good. They need to shoot whoever choose their metal chairs, seriously. I was excited to eat here, the food is beautiful but falls down.
Kit
Overpriced. I've had a better lunch for 5$ and my lunch was 18$ with the tip. I'll come back for drinks on the rooftop before a Thunder game or an event but, I won't be eating here again.
Zack
They're burgers are nothing special and the pickles are awful. They need more consistency with their toast points. The managers seem very cocky. Especially the short bald one. And from what I've heard they aren't nice people.
Taylor
Packard's is awesome! I went there for brunch this past weekend and it was so good. My family shared several dishes and they were all so good. I highly recommend the sourdough pancakes, the biscuits and gravy and eggs bennie. Also, you must have a glass of the fresh squeezed orange juice. So good. Also, the atmosphere is so neat. I'm excited that OKC is getting more neat places like this.
Patockdr
Will definitely go back!!. My boyfriend and I have been there twice and have LOVED it each time! The wait staff was friendly and the food was great! For those who have a hard time at restaurants, I have found it helps to strike a conversation with the waiter. Just saying. And, yes, I have had my share of restaurant nightmares, which I relay to the manager and reflect in the tip.

Burger was from a frozen patty!

Come here every Sunday for brunch!! Delicious.

Lovely. I really enjoy this place. I’ve never ordered something I didn’t like. The staff is very enjoyable and attentive. The rooftop bar is also very nice. The whole place just has a nice atmosphere.
Sarah
Beautiful place mediocre BLT. Good service although how could it be bad it was completely dead. Sat at the bar top and while it is a very beautiful space the bar stools could be more comfortable. We ordered the warm bacon and kale salad and I guess I was expecting more kale than bacon but received the opposite. Tiny little $4 side. It was tasty but you would have to try hard to mess that simple of a side up. My bf and I split the BLT and egg sandwich. I was thankful for the leftover pork belly in my salad to put on my sandwich that seemed to have NO bacon. It most certainly didn't measure up to the BLT I could have gotten at the mule with a side that is included. I'm really over these downtown places that charge $10 for a sandwich with no chips or anything. Kitchen 324 guilty too. Like seriously how much does it cost you to throw some kettle chips on the plate? I relatively enjoyed my lunch but will find myself in no real rush to return.
Katie
We were so shocked that this restaurant had such a low approval rating. To our surprise, Our experience at Packards
Definitely deserved a 5 star rating. We went on a Saturday for brunch and instantly loved the atmosphere. To start our breakfast, they offered $2 mimosas, what a steal! And they were delicious. We also tried their house brew coffee, and were impressed as well. Between the 2 of us, We got the pork verde burrito, the bacon sandwich and a cup of the oatmeal. All of these items were truly delicious and so well prepared. We have tried many okc restaurants and this is by far one of the best places we have eaten so far. We already can't wait to go back to try the dinner!
Brian
We had a large party of 22. The atmosphere and service was great. Everyone seemed to like food. I had filet and thought it was ok needed more flavor. Drink menu is good. Would go back.

Don't get the so-so reviews. I was skeptical about trying Packard's after reading the so-so reviews of the place on Urbanspoon. But we thoroughly enjoyed our meals this evening, shared among 5 friends. Our waiter (Amelia) was great --- very sweet, confidant, informative, not overbearing
Hayley Evanholt
Our knowledgeable server explained everything on the menu flawlessly. She guided us through the menu and helped us choose two spectacular entrees. She had purple hair but I cannot recall her name. New to OKC we decided to give Packards a try. It was fantastic. The ginger carrot soup was full of flavor. The highlight was the cocktails. The bartender deserves two thumbs up! We had the duck mac and crispy thigh. AMAZING! I highly recommend Packards. The decor, service, and food was out of this world.
Catherine
Delish!

Poor Start. When you have a place that has this many poor reviews, you will not find me or my family trying this place. This shows they have a problem and management that can not solve the problem. Time for a change in management !

Packard's is awesome. Went to Packard's today for brunch and had a waitress named Megan. She was great! I got the Chorizo Biscuits and Gravy... Absolutely incredible. My girlfriend got the Tofu Scramble and a Bloody Mary. They were both amazing. I don't eat tofu and I thought it was superb. If you haven't been here definitely check out their brunch!

Got there at about 10:45 on Sunday morning before the church rush and there were plenty of places to sit.

This was such a horrible experience. Managers totally non-existent. Cold food. Service like this is not acceptable in our city.
Boring details:
Our cocktails and appetizer were great. Kale salad was great. Waited and waited for our entrees... Watched as tables that arrived after us received their entrees. Ours arrived cold. Lukewarm at best. Bernaise cold to the point it formed a skin on top. Notified our server but after waiting so long could not delay leaving for our play any longer. She acknowledged that our entrees probably "sat back there for 10-15 minutes". Watched her notify the manager who did not come speak to us. Gave us the bill for the full price ($150!) because "Interurban owns us and doesn't let us adjust the check". Offered us a free dessert on next visit.
Won't be necessary. Will go to Coach House where $150 gets me perfection every time. If our bill had been adjusted might have given them another try.

Packard's. Food and service were good, felt a bit rushed after the main course arrived. Strangely the two men were served their dishes, then a few minutes later the ladies!? The menu is limited and some not-so risky patrons might not find something on the menu to their taste. Beer and wine were overpriced.
Wanda
Beer was warm, pasta undercooked and drinks way too strong to drink, lots of other places to spend your money. Not impressed

Some parts.. Yes! Some parts... No!. The rooftop patio is very nice. The appetizers & salads were excellent! If only we had stopped there. Fish & Chips, which should be easy, we're very disappointing - strange flavor? Strip steak was slimy & not very flavorful... Service was okay for a Tuesday night. Guess cocktails & appetizers is where it's at for this restaurant!
Jks
Good food. Nice atmosphere, but none of that can make up for the service. Started off okay, but we were definitely feeling a bit rushed through things, when we were still trying to enjoy our wine an conversation leisurely, our waiter came back after trying to clear our unfinished plates a few times and told us he'd been there all day and would we mind if he tabbed us out so he could go home. And he'd send someone else over to us. It wasn't really even late at this point, maybe 8:30 max. And so he did an we did not see anyone else for the rest of the evening. No one offering dessert, coffee, or asking how we were. And no sight of a manager anywhere the whole time either. I think we maybe would've had a bus boy and hostess to complain to as we left and that's it. Disappointing.

Not so great.. Mostly a total disappointment from start to finish.we have only lived in Oklahoma City for one month and so far i have been pretty impressed by many of the restaurants in my neighborhood. I assumed the negative comments I heard about Packards where because Packards was too sophisticated for peoples taste. I walk by it several times a week and I loved the atmosphere so I would assume that the food must be divine. I should have payed attention to the gossip because I feel cheated out of nearly 200 dollars giving this place a chance. we walked through the door to be ignored. Not unnoticed but flat out ignored. The host stood there, peered up at us through his glasses and went back to texting or whatever he was doing behind his podium. I stood ignored until a server was kind enough to seat us. we started of with one of there "handcrafted" cocktails. Small, expensive and weak. The sticky and wobbly table table didn't help with my first impression. I then we ordered one of the most void of flavor steaks I have ever had in my life. Not only was it overcooked but it tasted like cheap beef. our server was fantastic but i felt terrible when she asked how my meal was and all i could do was shrug. I got the vibe that she got that response a lot. needless to say, If you hear its not great, which im sure you will. Listen.

Bad Service, But Has Potential. My husband and I dropped into Packard's one evening on a whim after it had first opened. We had heard exciting things about this place, and (sorry to mention) as we have our fair share of experience in foreign tourism and hospitality, we had high expectations for this establishment.
FOH staff, particularly hostesses, in Oklahoma tend to fall below par on my scale, and at Packard's they fit the trend. There is nothing that turns me off more than walking into a restaurant where 3 hostesses are gathered at the front desk, "busying" themselves with something, and none acknowledging the fact that you walked into the door.
Eventually, we were escorted to the bar (which is where we wanted to end up anyway) and sat in a mess of spilled cocktails and water all over the bar top. It's never a sign of great service when you have to request a bar rag to mop up someone else's mess. After this, it took forever for a bartender to notice us and offer us a drink, and even then, the wrong drink was made. They were small, weak, overpriced, and frankly, I just was not happy.
We paid for our disappointing drinks and made a swift exit; HOWEVER, I think this place has potential if they can just work out the kinks and hire staff who are more attentive and possibly more experienced. Service is a deal breaker, after all.

Mediocre. I had the grouper which was a 25 dollar meal. The entree came to the table raw. Our waiter had a very bushy beard which seemed a little unkept. He had difficulty multi-tasking and was not good at anticipating our needs such as drink refills. The restaurant did not charge me for my meal which was nice. The portions were very small. The desserts were nothing special and were also on the smallish side. Not impressed. Packards needs to decide if they want to be a bar or a restaurant.

Saturday night walk up. We took a chance and walked in knowing it would be doubtful on a table. They offered us two seats at the bar, and took our number to text us if a cancellation occurred. The wife had a sauvignon blanc, and I Coop DNR on tap. Thats a good start!
We both had pasta dishes that we enjoyed. Under seasoned a bit, but cooked well. Our bartender, Taylor, was very enjoyable to visit with, and gave us very good service. We were offered a table, but enjoyed the bar.
Dessert was less than impressive, but the overall night was very good. I can say we will go back, but it sure seems to be hit and miss with many.

IDKWTF "New American" Means.... ...but I like it. Asian BBQ buns. Italian Carbonara. Central 'Murican Campechana. French Mussels. Delicious fresh tasting fish was the closest to the ol' "New American" I'm used to but if this is the *New* New American I'm OK with it and don't miss the adjacent roof top bar for the spectacular view of OKC. Can't. Wait. To. Go. Back.

Slow down and enjoy it. I was on my first date last Wed. Took her to Packard's for some fine food and custom drinks. Though service was not the fastest, they were friendly and knowledgeable of the dishes. I ordered the Tuna and my date ordered the pasta carbonara. Both took about 15-20 minutes to arrive. that is the correct amount of time too cook chicken, During out wait we had a couple of Pack Mules their custom drinks. Delicious and fun. the ambiance was great and we had a wonderful time. not to noisy their either which was very important and made our night special. thank you Packard's for a wonderful evening.

Great environment and friendly staff with awesome rooftop. First couple of times when they opened and didn't love it, but they've really turned things around since the chef changes. Pan seared chicken is delish and specials are always good

Amazing food, great patio, excellent service what a great addition for Okc!

I go to packards weekly, I have always left completely satisfied and pleased. The food is incredible, drinks are great, & the atmosphere is fun! Try the specials... The chefs are top notch.

Great atmosphere. Their menu doesn't have that much to choose from. However, everything that they do have is delicious. Been there a few times on the rooftop which was gorgeous and in the restaurant just to eat. The service is great! Love their drinks as well. Definitely a place I recommend.

Love their food! The pan seared chicken is amazing! Our server really knew her wine. This place is an excellent place to eat. The girl manager (don't know her name) was so sweet. Keep up the good work!

Service. The food was just okay, not all good enough for the costs. The location and decor are nice, but the food and the service were really bad. I sat at the bar and had to try and get the bartenders attention several times even though there was only five people sitting at the bar.

Love the place! Ask and you shall receive. The entire staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a great birthday dinner for 12. I admit that I wasn't a fan the first time but these guys have it together now! Ask for Kylee (spelling) she is a fantastic waitress! Also, Scarlet on the patio really welcomes you to the upstairs patio. This place is locally owned and operated and they want to give you a great experience so go and let them!!

Awesome food! Very friendly and knowledgable staff! Highly recommend for lunch or dinner! Also they have a great roof top with a phenomenal view of downtown!

Needs work. Okay food. Burger was salty and cold and fries were soaked in oil and room temp. Soggy vegitables and mediocre service. Not close to the price. Burger king has them beat. Great beer selection but food was awful. *urbanspoon kookookachoo new account*

A little disappointed. My friend and I both ordered a mixed greens salad with chicken. The salad was described as having green beans, fingerling potatoes and pecan crusted goat cheese.
When the salads were brought to the table there was no cheese or fingerling potatoes on either one. The waiter took the salads back and we were brought new salads with one small very cold fingerling potato cut in half and a small piece of white cheese with some grayish colored nuts pressed into it. The cheese was ice cold and was definitely not goat cheese. It looked and tasted like something out of a cheap cheese gift package. The serving size of the shredded chicken was approximately 1/4 cup. My friend asked one of the waitresses if bread was served with the salad. Her response was "what do you mean? I can find you a piece of bread if you want it." My friend declined the offer. The meal was overpriced and I would never order it again. I might go back for a second chance and try one of the burgers as they did "look" delicious.

Called 2 weeks in advance and made a reservation for a business dinner on Memorial Day. i specifically asked, and was assured that they would be open
on Memorial Day. Arrived to find "closed" sign on the door. Had to scramble to find new place to eat dinner with my out-of-town interviewee. Very disappointing and frustrating. I won't be planning any other dinners or events at Packards.

Needs some work.... I WANTED to like this place...really I did...it's a good concept, great location, and the atmosphere is nice inside, great on the rooftop. Service was excellent, even when you're that annoying table that's there for 2-1/2 hours and takes forever to order because you won't shut up. The Pack Mule and the Old Fashioned were excellent...and then there was the food....

I had the fresh hand-cut pasta with carbonara sauce...it was like a salt lick. The pasta texture just wasn't quite right...it just didn't work. I had a few bites and had to quit. My date had similar feelings about his burger, which he said was overcooked and too salty. He managed half of it. We split a mediocre dessert, which was supposed to be like a brandy ice, but somehow missed the mark.

I don't know if we'll be back or not...maybe just for a drink on the rooftop next time. For the price, Local in Norman or Ludivine are going to be a much better bet.

After several attempts to get a reservation for my daughters 21st birthday dinner I was eventually offered a table for six and promised a fantastic evening after pleading my case to a gentleman who claimed to be the general manager. My wife showed up early with our daughters cake and there were several young ladies standing at the desk at the entrance giggling while she struggled to hold the doir and carry the cake. Not one of them offered to help. My wife was then told that we didnt have a reservation. She asked for a manager and several minutes later a very rude blonde woman claiming to be a manager stomped to her and insinuated that my wife was a liar then proceeded to seat several people without offering to find a table for us. Its not very often I will suggest that my familys race plays a role in poor treatment but our treatment was a nightmare. Rude management, pretentious staff and they seemed to be able to seat every rich white person while we were accused of being lairs and offered no help with a mistake they made. my wife was embarrassed publicly and my daughters birthday ruined. It was the worst experience I could have asked for.

Ate here for lunch on Friday and the meal started well, we had the Chapenacha, it was pretty tasty. However, the burger was disappointing, over seasoned pattie and soggy bun. Something about the burgers made me and the hubs a lil quesy. The onion rings were limp and flavorless. Cute setup inside but, we won't be back.

One of the best meals I have had. Staff was very attentive. Worth visiting again!!!

Bad. Despite its impressive interior and awesome upstairs patio, the experience was pretty much a nightmare. It took at least 45 minutes to get our food. I ordered the rib eye burger and it was average. My friends got pasta and the serving size was small and not good. The cocktails were overpriced, small, and bad. The service was bad. Our waitress dropped ketchup all over my friends shirt as he was being served his entree. All she did was just come back with soda water and napkin and just said this should clean it up. No genuine apology or concern for what happened.

Sad because the service is good and the place looks great but you are only as good as your food. I ate the veal w/ swiss chard and sweet potato gnocchi. First, veal came out raw, not rare but raw. Second, swiss chard came out and had been cooked with stems and leaves together. The stems are edible and have good taste but Cooking 101: you must separate the leaves from stems because the stems take longer to cook. So basically I had leaves that were cooked perfectly and raw stems and then I had to play surgeon and dissect the leaves from the stems. Third, the gnocchi had a wallpaper paste consistency. Fourth, the cherry sauce turned to a jello-like consistency in a few minutes. Could be an excellent dish but execution was horrible. Definitely need a new executive chef. I hope they turn around because we need more good restaurants in OKC.

Tried this place for lunch - even though most everyone I know that has tried it claims its not worth the trip.

Gotta say I agree.

Went with two other downtown professionals and we all agreed we probably won't be back for awhile.

Has a great look and the staff is friendly and professional, but that's where it ends.

My chicken salad sandwich was very blah and forgettable. The onion rings were even worse. I'm okay with the thin rings, but add some flavor.

The rings were served with a watered down marinara. When I asked for ketchup they said they were out.

I was hoping it would be another Kitchen 324 - but sadly its not even close.

By the time we left at 1:10pm, the place was dead.

Went to Packard for the second time today. My first visit for was for lunch last week... Ordered the black bean burger. The burger was more like mush and when I picked it up to take a bite it fell out of the bottom of the bun. It was more like black bean spread. Fast forward to today... Went with a large group for a friends birthday. Had the filet.... Which was decent. However... We wanted to have a drink on the patio and were told (by the manager) it was closed because of a wedding. One of the main reasons we chose the packard for fe birthday celebration was to enjoy the patio.... Which is by far the main thing the restaurant has going for it. Cool build out and decor.... Bad food... Ok service.... Would probably only go back for a cocktail/and the view.

Loving Lunch. So far only been during lunch and the food has been on point! The Duck Confit Sandwich was absolutely delicious! The bartender was super friendly and accommodating when I told him I was short on time. He recommended the special to me and I was licking my fingers as duck fat rolled down hands! The Onion Rings were crispy and light and the jam that went with it was delicious! And do not get me started about the Ribeye Burger I had today! With the Farm Fresh Egg and cheese added onto it I had the best lunch! My friends Mussels were fantastic also! I suggest sitting at the bar and chatting up the bartender! They are all really friendly and have great suggestions! Will be going back again as soon as possible!

This place won't make it. The only good things are the drinks and the balcony. Unfortunately, the food is god-awful. Once Kitchen 324 adds in that bar and dinner service, it'll be the slow crumbling descent of this newly opened concept.
Not a surprise to find out that Interurban owns this place.
I don't know, maybe give it some time to work out the kinks of their kitchen I guess? Seriously, the food is TERRIBLE.

Overall, it just wasn't very good for the price. We ate there for dinner, got the $14 cheese tray which was just a few bites served with five small pieces of bite-size toast. The blue cheese was so overpowering we couldn't eat it. Had steak sandwich for entrée, the meat was tender but the Onion flavor was so strong I couldn't take very many bites. I was even disappointed with my beer, the waitress described it, and it was not as described. I wanted to like this place, but it was a big flop for me

My husband and I met for lunch. The service was fabulous. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was phenomenal. The Kahlua Pork sandwich on the Packard's Sesame bun, (banana leaf smoked pork) with ginger slaw was delicious.

My husband and I went there on a date this past weekend, and it was wonderful. The food was excellent and the service was great. We loved the pastrami and the the kona bites. Lovely experience all around. Can't wait to go again!

Absolutely loved this place! Felt so proud of our city when I first stepped into this place! The inside is stunning and the food is incredible. I've been for lunch and dinner and I am already obsessed. Everything I've tried was perfect. My advice is go with lots of friends and everyone order something different so you can try it all!
Bryan
I absolutely loved this place! I've eaten there 4 times in the past 2 weeks and I can't get enough. The lunch items (pastrami sand, chicken salad sand) are unreal. Best bar and cocktails in the city. Consider me a regular

Beautiful restaurant. Food was perfect and we ordered every dessert on menu because we couldn't decide. A MUST in OKC dining.

Very Expensive and Disappointing. My wife and I had dinner there and we were both very disappointed. It is a beautiful space and the bar is awesome. I would highly recommend stopping by for drinks before going to eat somewhere else. However, the food is just to expensive to not be anything but awesome. I'd like to say we'll be back to give them another chance and maybe we will. There are just too many places that are better.

This place is amazing. My favorites are:
Pastrami
Grouper
Compechana
Mussels
Burger with egg
Double cut pork
Carbonara
And the bar is amazing. All the drinks!!

I like to give a new restaurant a little while to get open & established. People who love food & know people understand that. This place is off to a great start!!

Ok so weird experience. The appetizer was good. Got a burger and it was WAY over cooked, tasted burnt. Ordered the pasta and it was mushy and had no flavor and a VERY little amount for what you pay. The flavors were all a little off. Didn't make sense and was a very pricey dinner for the bad experience we had. Good atmosphere and good wait staff. But the flavors were weird and not worth the price. Probably wont go back.

I've had lunch at Packards 2X and the food, drink and service were top notch both times. Love the Campechana...so, so good...consider ordering your own. The grouper sandwich with caper aoli .... oh my!!!
Bex
Went there for lunch today and it was phenomenal! Had the pack mule to start then some roots chips and hot olive plate! Moved onto wine and the chicken salad sandwich with quinoa. Finished up with the sticky toffee dessert and it was on point! Our service was amazing and our waiter Chris was very knowledgable about everything on the menu!! If you haven't tried it, you're missing out!

We wanted to go tonight and looked for hours online. When we were unable to find the hours, I called. The person answering seemed a little unsure about how late they would be serving food. When I questioned her, she put me hold, and came back saying that the hours might be longer in the future, but because they were just opening , it was 9:00. I think it is so strange to take that attitude as a new restaurant. You would think they would stay open later so that more people could try them out! And if there was any doubt about whether to close early tonight , you would think a phone call from a new customer would encourage them to stay open. Perhaps they are so busy that they feel confident that they should not worry about running people off.

Just opened. I went to Packard's on the 2nd or 3rd day of opening for lunch. The menu is very Ludivine like and I mean that in a good way(they also have Ludivine's old bartender). I had the Veggie Burger (black beans and beats) and it was great. My wife had the steak sandwich and she liked hers as well. Later the same evening I met a friend for drinks at Packard's, the owner was present and took us on a tour of the place. The rooftop patio is amazing, complete with heaters, a bar and a great view. This place will have no problem keeping customers coming back and spreading the word.
