Windy's Sukiyaki

We had only gotten take out from here once and it was so fresh and delicious, so we decided to dine in on Thursday evening. We reserved a tea room and the ambiance was so peaceful and beautiful! Our server, Freddie, was the main reason why I’m giving this a 5 star review. She was attentive, kind, informative, and so pleasant to us! We talked about food, Xalisco’s tacos and hibiscus margarita, and when it was time to go she took the time to put our food in to go boxes for us. The whole ride home all I could think about was how great she is and we can’t wait to go back! We started with the agedashi tofu which was phenomenal, the sauce at the bottom of the bowl was so yummy to continue dippping into! I had the Pork, Gyoza and Beef dinner plate and everything was succulent, the pork katsu was amazing and is comfort food for sure. My boyfriend had the hibachi chicken and it was AMAZING. We are so happy to have found the time to go and dine in and are eagerly waiting for the next time we’re able to go!

We went for the first time on a Friday at 5pm. We made a reservation for 2. The restaurant doesn't open untill 5 pm. The relaxed ambiance was that of other authentic Japanese eateries. Food was delectable, and service was on point. I loved the private table. Expect to take off your 👞 👟 🩰 👠 recommend this place for date night

This spot is a true treasure nestled in Riverdale. Conveniently located with plenty of parking and a short drive to the freeway or Ogden boulevards. I recently surprised my family(wife and four kids 4-13) with a private tea room dinner. It was one of the best times we've had all going out as a family. Our server was beyond awesome, both in general attitude and friendliness and with attention to detail and knowledge of the menu. The food was absolutely incredible, very good with large portions and a wide variety so everyone should certainly be able to find something to fit their fancy. Everyone left with a full belly and wide smile, we simply can't wait for a return visit. I won't be able to orchestrate a total surprise again most likely but we will be visiting the beautiful tea rooms again as a family as soon as we can. In summary: a truly incredible and unique Japanese treat offering both amazing sushi, and large variety of hot dishes of noodles, potstickers, meats and so much more, wrapped up in a wonderful bow of absolutely amazing service and ambiance. This one is a real 11 out of 10.

Trying it for the first time, was nice to have an open seating option or private option with Japanese styling for seating but a hole to put your feet in to sit at a table. Our booth had an off smell that frankly made my eating experience unpleasant.our waitress was knowledgeable and service was prompt except our glasses were not filled again until the check was brought. The food was good nothing spectacular we both had a roll and a dinner plate. The tempura vegetables were good basically a batter fried French fry. The lemonade roll was delicious. It's worth trying but it didn't impress me to the point of wanting to return soon.

Service is always top notch. Food is amazing. We have tried many dishes. My boys most favorite is pork beef gyoza while I like the teriyaki chicken. The Teas are really good. We really like the tea rooms. Definitely recommend doing a reservation for one if going. Try some rolls too. We have tried many and they never disappoint.

Came here for my boyfriends birthday! Was a very nice, relaxing time. I love that u can make reservations. They don’t serve alcohol but u can bring ur own wine! The fish is delicious and the fried salmon bites I think they are called?? I’m not sure but it’s an appetizer and soooooo bomb!!!! Def recommend for a nice night out.

Had a dinner party for seven last night in a tea room. Originally made a reservation over the phone (the night before) for 7:45 pm. Got a text the next day confirming the time, then got a second text letting me know that another party cancelled and we could arrive earlier if desired. Kept the original time, but I really appreciated the updates/offers/communication. We arrived and were immediately seated. Got a great room and Fred was our server. She did a fantastic job with all of our orders and kept the beverages flowing through out the evening. She was pretty much perfect; kind, skilled, fun to chat with. The food was fabulous ( as usual ). A wide enough variety of high quality sushi for everyone’s differing tastes. It was a double birthday that we were celebrating. Grateful for the $15.00 discount that is offered via the birthday program. The mint chocolate chip ice cream was a perfect end to the meal. All in all, a great night. Thanks for all you do!
