Panera Bread

I had lunch today at Panera Bread in the Ocean location. The restaurant looked clean, and had tuna salad sandwiche with lettuce and tomato from the menu. The tuna salad was very salty. Not sure if the tuna salad is made at this location, or if it's made by a vendor for them. Very disappointed. When I first came in to order, there were two people taking orders. When it was my turn, the order person left to fill take out drink orders. There were many people waiting to place orders because it was lunch time! I waited a long time until she returned. This location needs more people or a better organization to be efficient for customers.

The last time I went to this location the wait time to receive my food was unreal while the workers were all playing on their phones and the place was empty. However, I was willing to give it another shot and decided to place my order ahead tonight for pickup. I ordered the Baja grain bowl with grilled chicken and my son wanted the grilled cheese. When I got home my son was starting to eat his sandwich and told me it didn’t taste right. To my surprise the paper that was used to separate the slices of cheese was baked into the sandwich. I posted the pictures of the disgust. How does someone not notice that!? Finally, my grain bowl didn’t have the sour cream and I was left with a dry bowl that I didn’t finish eating. I was willing to give this location another shot but I was left extremely disappointed and disgusted and will never go back. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this facility in Ocean, NJ. To anyone. I will continue to go to Wall and Howell.

I walked into this Panera location at 3:55P on 10/11/19. As I walked up to the register i saw an employee in the corner speaking on the phone with headphones in. After a second or two she realized i was there and came to take my order. She didnt bother to take the headphones out. I proceeded to the pickup counter where there were a few employee talking loudly and a few customers waiting. Trash and debris was all over the floor. I went to the drink station which stunk of funk. After I received my food I went to the lobby to search for a clean table. I say search because there were more dirty then clean tables. There was trash all over the floor. There were no customers being served on my way out and the front counter person was back on her phone with her headphones in. Where is the manager during all this?

This is not really one of my favorite Panera locations. We went on a Sunday evening, and I think we hit the training time. The cashier seemed a bit unsure, and when the first part of my meal arrived, it was incorrect. I had ordered and paid for a bowl of soup, and received a cup. Okay, we brought that back and it was corrected immediately. Then I received my sandwich. It was supposed to have mozzarella in it, but it had three small bits, none of which was larger than my thumb. So I brought that back and they made me a new one of those also. The restaurant itself is large, and clean. We came at night, so I can't comment on how bright it was, but it seems like it probably would be great during the day. I may try back here again, but definitely not in the evening.

I come here regularly, and came today with my family for lunch. It wasn’t terribly busy, and we ate in house. They put my husband’s soup in a to go cup with his “you pick two” meal. He asked why it was that way, the manager shrugged and told him “Well, we ran out of the other ones.” It was significantly less soup than I received in the same size ordered. Nobody offered to fix it. I’m disappointed in how we were treated here today.

I love Panera but this location is bad. Get it together. No croutons in my salad. Was I supposed to request them? And no whipped cream on my drink that should have(sorry , not being petty but you pay like $5 , so it should be done right). People always seem new and service is slow. I am afraid to make to go orders anymore because a year back, they screwed up or didn't have like 3 consecutive ones in a row ready. I just stopped and barely have been back since. I wish these places would train and pay their help better. It reflects. I gave 3 stars because I still love Panera's food and other locations are better. This Ocean one is the worst I've been to.
