Good evening staff and fellow patrons of The Virginia Grill aka “Da’Rocks”, I am writing this review with deep sadness in my heart and soul. I do not write this review as a human, but as a burger connoisseur. A burger connoisseur who has yet to reach the end of his quest to find the perfect burger, but one who had happily found a perfect replacement until such fated day. A burger found in this restaurant... a restaurant who’s only purpose was to fill that gaping void in my life. A restaurant that has now decided such delicacies will no longer be part of the menu simply because of its nationality. In my many visits to this once oasis of a place, I encountered many individuals who shared my passion for this burger. Some veterans, and others lucky souls who were about to get a glimpse of the promised land for the very first time in their otherwise mediocre lives. Many who would travel across the county just for another savory date with this delicious piece of meat. Many who would form traditions around the burger and the establishment and for what? What was it all for is a question I ask when the new owner refuses to see the treasure he now holds in his anti-burger hands. I do not leave many reviews, much less ones that are not 5 stars, but the day the burger leaves, I will come back to steal 4 stars from this one just like the burger is being stolen from me. I ask other burger lovers to stand before me and speak out against this injustice. No seriously bro keep the burger.

I was hesitant coming here after reading the reviews and having no local knowledge whatsoever, the lady who served me was new and was very nice and welcoming to me. I was recommended the crab sandwich which was brilliant, service was quick, cannot flaw it at all. The view of the river is great and the interior is sort of a traditional rustic look.

The coziest comfiest tastiest cup of Virginia peanut soup ever. We also came for lunch this was phenomenal they blew a Reuben right out of the park my I'm not usually a coffee man but I had a long drive ahead of me and it was the last night this week I get to see with my hopefully wife-to-be. Couldn't have been better.

I don't give 5 stars often but the food was very good. The wings (spicy) are buffalo but have something else in the sauce. Very good. The shrimp scampi was apparently delicious. My father-in-law said it was the best he ever had. Decent quantity of large shrimp too. My wife got the salad (hydroponic greens) or something like that. Looked like there were various fruit and nuts as well and it was a big salad. She really liked it. The building is old and in need of many upgrades and repairs but the good food overshadowed the physical defects of the building. They might be constrained by historic regulations....there seems to be a certain level of deterioration throughout the town that most businesses would try to correct. But it is a nice afternoon getaway.

The atmosphere, the service and the food were all incredible. My husband and I were on our way to a friend's house in Manassas (we live in southern Maryland) and were stuck in horrible traffic in the rain (I'm 7 months pregnant so it wasn't such a good combo for me - we had an hour left of driving and had already driven 1.5 hours). My husband decided we would reschedule with our friend's and have a date night of our own. We ended up at the Virginia Grill and I CANNOT WAIT to go back. By far one of our most favorite date nights that we have had in the 5.5 years we have been together. I had the crab cake platter. My husband had the prime rib. Both were perfect. My most favorite part was our waiter (I feel horrible I forgot his name). Super polite. Available when we needed him. Gone when we needed space. And he was just so personable and did a great job of making fun conversation with everyone he was serving. I loved everything about our date at the Virginia Grill.

My wife and I went there for lunch today, the food was good and the service was fantastic. Our waitress was Maggie and she was very pleasant and smiley, she was our waitress last week when we were in for dinner. We are a little older and sometimes a little particular with our choices, both times she was friendly, prompt and cheerful. Thank you for the hospitality, we will certainly be back and sharing our experience with others.
