Hands down the best vegan Chinese food I’ve had, nothing else locally comes close, but honestly it’s even better than what I’ve had in Cleveland and on the West Coast. We tried the yuxiang eggplant, the bean curd country style, the pan fried rice noodles with vegetables, vegetable spring rolls , and their homemade hot mustard. Everything was flavorful and cooked just right, super tasty despite us being late to pick it up. Excuse the bad cell phone pics. 🤭

The "vegan" options I've tried at Bingo are delicious. My favorite is the Tiger Tofu lunch special; I order vegetable soup in place of the non-vegan soup that comes with it. The owner is kind and tries her best to accommodate my needs. I've seen her work VERY hard as she tries to make up for a short staff due to Covid, etc.
The dining atmosphere is stylish and cozy. Bingo is the perfect spot in downtown Oberlin where you can relax and enjoy a pot of comforting hot green tea along with your yummy vegan meal.

They enforce your tip, no matter how good or bad the service is! I used to visit this restaurant at least once a week, sometimes even twice a week, but recently I haven't been in for a month or two because of the busy schedule. Today, I suddenly remembered that I haven't been there for a long time. I ate dinner there tonight. When I checked out, I was forced to charge a tip? ? ? And there is hardly any service today, not even ice water is added, and there is no response, usually, I leave a 15%-20% tip, but when you don't get any service, I am Say anything! Do you still need to pay a corresponding tip for this? When they finished swiping the card, they directly told me that you only need to sign this, I was very surprised! ! Without even an explanation, I don't know what happened in the month or two I didn't patronize, but the table next door to me was equally forced to tip and they were equally unpleasant! As a regular customer, I will never go back to this restaurant again.

What a great place! This quaint location provides extraordinary service and foods that delight the palate. I really enjoy the ability to have a touch free takeout, they even accept venmo. Let's all support one of our local gems and make it a habit to let them do the cooking!

We visited a friend at Oberlin College, and decided to try this restaurant based on good google review. We went there around 1:30 pm and ordered griddle chicken, diving fish, eggplant, mapo tofu, Szechuan noodle, and dumpling. To our surprise, they were all pretty authentic and delicious. the restaurant is clean and well decorated. The service is pretty good too.

The takeout was very bland. When I called about what vegetables were included with one of the meals, she said "3 pieces of brocolli". Probably not the best way to sell some of your dishes. Even with soy sauce, the taste still was nowhere near some other asian food in the area.

Edit: the owner reached out the following day and offered us 2 meals on the house. They didn’t have to do that, but we were grateful to have the option since we enjoy eating there so much. We have been back 3 times since the incident described below, and they forgot our fried rice twice, but otherwise it is good. Can’t always win, especially when no one in the world wants to work.
Normally a great place for good quality food. They over charged me once and made it right. Tonight we called and ordered-40 minutes. Get there and they said 10 more minutes. Fast forward an hour and half after the call was made, they said it’s being packaged. Then all of the sudden they have no idea where the order is and “someone else must have taken it.” They offered to make it for free if we waited ANOTHER 40 minutes. I understand that the work force is struggling, but this is inexcusable-because if someone else took it, where was there meal?

I've not had much of their Chinese American dishes but have rather stuck to their Szechuan dishes, my favorite of which is the eggplant and this is the only place I've found in the area that makes that dish without driving to a major city. I think that the thing I appreciate most about this place is their rice, which they take pride in, fluffy, fragrant, slightly sticky, and not made with bs converted white rice. I will keep coming back for sure!
