Buon Appetito Restaurant

Short version: great food, friendly staff, slightly cramped seating. Long version: The food is amazing and staff is very friendly. The water and my mojito had way too much ice and I had to ask for about 5 glasses of water. I walked in through the back etrance and the seating is kind of cramped and open. Too close to other people. Luckily the booths and bar area is a bit more cozy so we sat at the bar. First time going since it was built. Price was reasonable too. $50 for 2 plates and 2 mixed drinks.

The place is nice but there are some things that you can notice if you are paying attention. The chairs are a little on the small size for me. I constantly felt like I was gonna break the chairs. The bread The start is decent. I recommend getting an appetizer. The wait on the main course can be 15-20 mins. The wait staff is nice and friendly. Very nice to chat with. I believe the price are quite what you expect to pay. The food that I had was quite enjoyable. Overall, nice place. Small little adjustments need to be made for me but still really good. Next time I am in the mood to have a nice Italian meal, I shall head here.

The service is on par with a high quality restaurant without the matching cost. Food is fresh, made to order and embellish the taste of cuisine. If you want microwave chicken, drowned in cheese sauce, this place is not for you. If you want to enjoy your food, taste that melts with your every bite, then come here and enjoy your meal!

On Monday 8 April, we were three couples looking for a place to dine in Oakley, California. The receptionist at our hotel suggested Buon Appetito. Another person standing near the desk, remarked, “I hear it’s a good place. They have white table clothes.” Seemed good to us. We all have traveled extensively in Italy and know good Italian cuisine when we taste it. Well yes, the tables at Buon Appetito do come with white table clothes but that’s not why I am writing this. The food was terrific. Excellent Italian cuisine. We had a wide range of dishes including the antipasto, caesar salads, lentil soup, raviolis, fish, and desserts. All were terrific. Good wine list as well. I want to include here a shout out to our server Stacey for her friendly and efficient service. Try it. You’ll like it.

I haven't had the opportunity to dine in yet, but I have used their take-out option twice. Their portions are modest however I prefer that, and they aren't necessarily small. Most entree's come in between $10 and $15 which reasonable pricing compared to similar restaurants. The food tastes fresh, and full of flavor, and the service I've experienced so far has been extremely friendly. I can't wait to dine in, I'm thinking of taking my parents there when they visit in a couple of months.

I’m leery giving this place an awesome review since I wanted to keep it a secret so my family can keep coming here without the place being so busy. But I’m compelled to give one since I had a very awesome experience! We had a big party and we were coming in at different times. Our server was super attentive and as soon as people arrived, she would stop by and set up the plates, utensils, etc. She and her helpers were the same, making sure we have water and bread every time we’re running low. Not to mention the food - it tasted so good! I can cook Italian food so I’m always apprehensive going to an Italian restaurant that can match my home cooked Italian food. This place made going out to eat an actual experience!
