Beautiful service and great tasting food. It was near perfect. They deserve 4.5 stars. The espresso also tasted great and was not bitter without sugar. I will be back again.
Every single portion and crumb of food was absolutely amazing. The cook came out as we were served our entrees, everything was great.
I’ve been coming here for years. The food is exceptionally good. We love the small plates they offer and will often get a bunch as appetizers and share with the table. The gnocchi with pesto is crazy good. The gnocchi are sooooo light and fluffy. Shrimp beeps are also a favorite. The staff is professional, the food always good, and atmosphere is nice. Five stars !!!
The service was prompt. The place had a homey feel. And the food was the best I ever had. I ran in first trying to beat the rain and catch our reserved table. I was met by the owner at the door while our table was being arranged. We spoke casually while my party started to gather. We were sat and walked through a few wine selections, we chose Stags Leap petite sirah delicious. The owner came by and as always I asked for his opinion on the menu. He mentioned his favorite was no longer featured on the menu but could still be made, so my MIL and myself ordered it. It was black linguini with seafood and a light butter sauce. It was the best Italian food I ever had. I regretted eating so much bread prior. Honestly, the left overs were bomb as well. My daughter and FIL ordered penne pesto adding shrimp. My husband had an eggplant pasta dish that was custom made since he's vegan, which he shared with our 9 month old. To savor our food we closed down the restaurant leaving us with a skeleton crew which came out to "goo-goo ga-ga" with our baby. It was a beautiful evening to start our Easter weekend.
Good food. It’s pretty expensive so I would consider it $$$ instead of $$ since it was $180 for 4 people. The portions are very large and I think we took home half of our meals. The chicken Parm was enormous. Cannoli was very good. My parents absolutely love this place and go once a week. Get here early because they get busy
First time here and I really liked the food and service. To me I judge an Italian restaurant by the quality of the veal and I was not disappointed. Fried calamari was very good, the veal parm was almost excellent, good sauce and not drowned, plenty of cheese and huge portion. Also has a side of the black pasta and it was delicious. Service was very good, sat outside, tables way too small though. Have not had good luck with Italian restaurants in Oakland but will definitely come back.
Fantastic food and service. Recently had my sister's baby shower there and everyone raved about the food!
