Louisiana Fried Chicken

Chicken great, fish great, shrimp great, gumbo great..Alligator was over cooked (in my opinion).. for our sides we got dirty rice Mac & cheese which where good, the greens where a bit plan for my liking needed more seasoning.. cornbread was thick and sweet.. they bagged everything as a togo order even though we ate there.. I believe I'll return for another try..

This is sad to write , i have been going to this place for years and it use to be a great place,great food with great service that was a few years ago when 2 Mexican ladies worked it. They were the best then one of the ladies was gone and some younger girls were working the front and they were terrible always got orders wrong and always took a lot longer to get food than they told you now they still have the one lady cooking (and she is still as nice and cooks as good as ever) but the 2 guys working the front counter are horrible he tells me 15-20 minutes so i get there in 20 and still wait another 20 minutes and still no food then this woman comes in and starts screaming about her order way too much drama to go with dinner i left without my food and will never return there again this was my favorite chicken spot and its sad to see how it has gone downhill over the years the Mexican lady that cooks should quit and work at another restaurant she is too good to stay with this sinking ship

I came here randomly visiting family in Oakland. What I can tell you is the chicken portions are huge! It's made fresh & crispy and comes with either bbq sauce or hot sauce your choice. Seems as thought it family owned, the alligator is a big pricey unfortunately 😒. It would be nice to have on the menu to order a single piece of alligator & chicken small plate option. Parking is a whole other issue, not any or much of it here. Be prepared to pay parking meter.

Went in on NYE around 5:15pm for my uncle whom likes the fish. I noticed that one of the ladies that was handling the food had her mask on below her jaw. Basically around her neck. And I asked her to put her mask on, she complained about how busy they were. I told her this has nothing to do with how busy they are, this is about safety. She still refused so I told her I’d report the business, and I did. So if decide to order from here, know that some of the employees are NOT following covid protocol.

In my opinion if you like good food this is not to place to dine. Chicken is big and under seasoned , and the fish don't taste like fish taste like a different nasty meat. And the sides are over spicy in nasty. And the service is rude. They're false advertising Louisiana name I'm from the south it tastes nothing like Louisiana.
