Probably the BEST sports bar in the bay area, GO Sports Bar has everything you could want. Plenty of large TVs. AWESOME food. Great beers on tap. The service was hands DOWN the best in the Bay and all their staff is friendly, engaging and CUTE. Youd be hard pressed to find a better Warriors bar. Its location in Old Oakland is perfect if you want to stay out after the game. I highly recommend it.

Owner put me out due to “their” lack of service! I had been going to this sports bar for the past few months so. Seemed like a good place to watch a game. I would drive all the way from Orinda to Oakland mainly because I enjoyed the diversity of people there. Most of the waitresses recognized me as I am normally a generous tipper. In fact, as I arrived, a couple of the waitresses asked me "how have I been". I sat for about 1/2 hour before a lady (dressed in street clothes) asked me if I wanted her to call a waitress as she noticed I had not been served. I thought wow, friendly patrons. I totally understood why the waitresses were attending to others and didn't pay much attention to me. The others had been there all game, tipsy, and by now ordering drinks like crazy. I came alone at the end of the game. I could see this same lady talking to the waitresses. I now realize she told the waitresses that they didn’t serve me. By the time a waitress finally arrived at my table there was less than 2 minutes in the game and the 49ers were kneeling to run out the clock. She apologized for missing me and asked if I wanted to place an order. I politely told her the game was nearly over and I’d be leaving in a minute or two. This is where the drama began. The lady owner approaches me with the waitress, only this time identifying herself as one of the owners. This time she was very rude and spoke in nasty tones. She told me “you must order or get the hell out”. What? Is this the same lady in street clothes that approached me earlier?. I tried to explain what she already knew, which is that I had been ignored up until the last 2 minutes or so. I went on to explain there was less than 2 minutes left in the game and I’d be leaving in a minute and, therefore, I had no reason to order and stick around at this point. Without thinking or considering my perspective she told me "ORDER OR GET OUT RIGHT NOW". When I told her I would write a review online she told me " go $uck yourself". Wow! Really! I mean wow! Horrible attitude considering the many restaurants, bars and sports bars in the Bay Area. From my perspective, it made no sense to order once the game was virtually over since I had other things to do...not to mention driving back to Orinda. I totally understand that sports bars survive on patrons buying food and drink. In all reality I could have ordered a soft drink for a couple bucks but the way in which I was treated caused me reiterate that I sat for over 30 minutes and no one paid any attention to me except her. In a good restaurant or sports bar I would have likely been comp’d a beer for sitting so long with no service. It was bad enough that I was never served. But then to have one of the owners yelling and cursing at me for their poor service is beside me. Buyers Beware with this place.

Lots of TV's, fast service and good food to go along with your drinks - what else can you ask from a Sports Bar? Oh - it is also very easy to get to and has several other restaurants and bars around so you can hop around if you wish.

Service WAS terrible. I say "was" because it's now closed for remodeling under a new owner that gutted the place (and threw most of it away). Hopefully things improve because between the terrible service, the limited and random beer selection, and lazy cocktail construction, this place used to only be good for a beer before my haircut next door.
