Baygreens Salads & More

They don't really pay full attention to your order and tend to mess it up, either it is missing part of the salad that you actually pay for or it is swapped item, wrong dressing, you name it. This happened to me few times before, but I would still not make a big deal about it. However if the only thing that I want to eat from my meal is a ham, while paying for the rest as well, just because they cannot get your order right, is too much. Because of this I have decided to go back and return my order. I was told that actually I was supposed to ask them after they took my order to check it again to be sure that they got it right - does this imply that it was my fault that they messed it up? Then I explained how this was not the fist time and they tend to exclude some parts of my order. I was only told one 'sorry next time check it', I was not given the option to have a new meal, nor to get refund. Oh and yes, they kept the returned meal as well. I do not consider this to be a good service. I understand that they are sorry (though are they really?), but I did not get the lunch that I payed for and it was their wrong doing. I feel like they were supposed to react with something more than just one simple sorry. And they need to understand that if a customer orders something, pays for it, they should give the food, not to keep it, not to mess it up. Today they have lost one more customer.

A friend was heading up into the City from South Bay and was in the Potrero Hill area so we ended up here. I read the reviews and decided on a burger - decked out with brie and avocado. I was going to go with an egg too, but the waiter suggested the two was enough. Burger was deliciously cooked, the brie and avocado were great additions, creamy and fatty! The fries were okay, but the real star is the burger.

I've been here twice and both times they messed up my order. The first time, I ordered a 'build your own' salad with spinach, arugula, a few veggie toppings, and dressing. When I got back to my office to eat, I noticed that one of the veggie toppings was completely missing and another was quite sparse (only 2 cherry tomatoes!?) This was a busy day in the restaurant, so I chalked it up to a simple mistake. The second time, I pre-ordered the Bay Greens salad and picked up before the lunch time rush. Made it back to my office and found: no chicken and pine nuts instead of peanuts. This could be an error with the website menu or it could be human error - either way, I probably won't be visiting this spot for lunch any time soon.
