Blackwater Station

Service was polite but very slow, especially considering the ratio of staff to patrons. Drinks were delicious. All the dishes we tried were quite bland, except for one that was so overly salted that I had to send it back (I haven't done that in years!). An overall bummer of a meal, but I would come back and have another cocktail at the bar.

Service and execution are 5 stars. The food is not to my taste. A manger specifically asked me if I had feedback (unsolicited) and then tried to explain that I didn't get the dish. I think the chef is trying to do too much. How about half the ingredients and attitude? Don't ask for feedback and tell me I'm wrong. Either take the feedback or don't ask. The cocktails were horrible.

Great new addition to Temescal. Warm atmosphere, super welcoming and hospitable staff, excellent cocktails and really solid food. On the food front, I've had the burger, which was delicious. Also being from Maine, I was curious to see if the lobster roll was good and it was amazing. On cocktails, one of my favorite cocktails is the Vieux Carré, which I was hesitant about ordering since I didn't want to be that guy who asks for a somewhat-obscure cocktail that isn't on the menu. The bartender cheerily replied that he could make it, and it was delicious. They also made me one of the owner's favorites, called the Fourth Regiment, which was like a sazerac with celery bitters, also not on the menu. I highly recommend Grange Hall! Welcome to the neighborhood.
