Good burgers, chicken and other sandwiches. If you need a quick not too expensive lunch in downtown Oakland, this is not too bad.
It is a very good Palestinian restuarant. You should try it. I like the lamb plate. It was great.
Lots of creatively named choices. Friendly staff who's not afraid to joke around a bit. Competent service. Portions are large and tasty.
Went here for lunch and really enjoyed it here. Quality food for a good price. It is not as cheap as chain locations, but you are paying for the different variety and quality. The specials are great and a good way to try different burgers at a better price. Down side to the specials, they don't come with fries.....sooooo gotta order them separately. Either way, was still worth the price, fast and friendly service, therefore I would definitely eat here again.
Great customer service! Nicest people you'll meet. Food quality is equally as great! If you're thinking about trying this place out, just do it. You won't be disappointed.
I have worked with Burger Gourmet since 2003 and my experience with their catering has been nothing short of SUPERB. They consistently go above and beyond my expectations with their menu, customer service, and presentation. They will pretty much create whatever meal you would like and work within your budget.
Having the responsibility of managing several events with various venus, I trust Burget Gourmet and call them FIRST. Give them a try and you will see the difference!
Get the chicken burger! Really nice staff here. Crispy onion rings and a solid selection of specialty burgers with real fixings like raw red onions and the such. Smelly men's room and so-so fries but who cares.
Hogwash is a solid happy hour/weeknight spot with delicious food. They are one of the most reliable places in the neighborhood in terms of a great beer list. They offer a wide range of mostly local beers, and the bartenders are helpful when it comes to making a recommendation. The vibe is pretty casual and everything has to be ordered at the bar.
I haven't tried most of their food, but I can attest that their Burnin' Brock a DELICIOUS (but also incredibly messy). Picture this: chicken habanero sausage, harissa aioli, fried avocado, fennel apple slaw w/ housemade chips. Trust me, this thing is massive and filling. Partner with a class of cold beer, and really what more do you need? Beyond food and drink, service is pretty hands-off and the vibe is decent (not too quiet, not too loud). Definitely a great, convenient spot to grab a post-work beer and snack/meal, but not a place I'd spend an entire evening hanging out at.
Tasty burgers and sandwiches. They also have turkey and garden burger options. They're only open during weekdays for lunch and breakfast. Really nice staff, I come here whenever I get that craving.
