Jj Fish And Chicken

We just went to get JJ's and it didn't disappoint, except for the mac n cheese. I ordered chicken wings and shrimp with a side of mac n cheese, and my gf ordered hot wings. The wings and shrimp I ordered were hot, crispy, juicy, and awesome! "The hot wings weren't crispy, but a little soggy; the fries were killer!" is what my gf said about her meal, but she wouldn't order it again. I've never ordered the hot wings here because the original flavor is amazing. Now to the mac n cheese... It tasted like it had lemon zest mixed into the cheese, which made it more tangy than anything else. It was kinda runny and wasn't really good. I took a couple of bites and she took one before we both agreed that the mac n cheese was better in the trash than in our mouths. I won't be ordering that mac n cheese again anytime ever... Overall, the food was fast, delicious (except the m&c), and flavorful as always and I'll definitely be back to visit this location next time I'm in town.

I dont even want to give then 1 star. I am very disappointed. I loved JJ's, I get fish and prawns from them often. Today I ordered a 12-piece snapper and a large prawn. My husband brought it home and that fish is either old, been sitting out, not cleaned or something! It has a horrible taste and smell!!! And when I called to let them know they simply picked up the phone and didn't say anything. I called 3 times. Since they are not trying to rectify this situation I feel forced to leave a review in hopes this is not served to anyone else. Do better!!!

Food was outstanding service was great. The portions were outstanding more than enough to feed two people. I had the catfish nuggets with fries I got the large. As I stated above it was more than enough for 2 people possibly 3. Not only would I go there again I'd tell my friends about it as well. That picture is my leftovers after eating about 1/3 of it.

Great food. It is made to order so it was piping hot. The season was perfect on my fish and the shrimp were battered and fried just right. I had mine crispy. My husband had the wings and tore them up. The chicken breast were juicy and flavorful. A lot of food for the price. It was our first time here and we definitely be back when we visit Oakland.

Been to both locations of JJ's in Oakland West and East! My fried sole was delicious! Fried and seasoned to perfection not to mention the crispy well seasoned fries! Of course we all know it aint a real fried fish plate without the slices of white bread! My sides of greens and mac n cheese were ok nothing special and my butter cream cake was soft, moist and delicious!
