Lotus Restaurant

First time ordering from the restaurant. One of my daughter’s favorite vegan places to eat. She recommended it to me. Very neat and tidy. Took the wrong order home 30miles from work. Called them back and they were very polite to replace my order. Yes my fault for not double checking even after I mentioned my name and a guy repeated it thought it was right. Van, manager called me back apologized and offered to give me my real order next day. This is what I call excellent 👌🏾 customer service. I recommend them to everyone. I ordered the number 25 and 46. Thé kale salad 🥗 is on point. 👌🏾

Decent vegan Vietnamese food... Been coming here for over two years. Used to be much better quality but the last few times, the food seemed to be off... a bit bland in flavor/ more watery curry and sauces. Also they charged way too much just to use a different type of noodle, even though the take out had noodles and broth separate.

As a meat lover, I was really surprised how good the food was here. We ate several dishes as part of a wedding reception. I wish I took pictures of the food and got the names of each dish. There was one memorable dish and I thought it was salt pepper fish but it was actually cauliflower in a really good batter. The cauliflower was well seasoned all the way through and it wasn't even mushy. I couldn't stop reading that one dish. I think that if you go here and pick any dish, you will really enjoy it if you have an open mind.

Got the spicy "chicken". It was a bit soggy and I would also prefer less sugar, more seasoning and a lot more spice. The zucchini salad it's served with was fine, but has, I think, a bit too much sugar in the dressing. I guess overall, it wasn't terrible and if you're looking for vegan food in Oakland, this'll do in a pinch.

I think the entree dishes are the best. I’ve had the noodle soups and the fried rices, but those do not have enough flavor for me. What I also found is that nothing is really as spicy as I would like it and all the dipping sauces are really sweet. They’re good though. I probably wouldn’t order the pot stickers again. At $2 a piece, they’re really not worth the value.
