Crossburger

Phenomenal! Gourmet food at lunchtime prices with great happy hour food specials. I work next door to this place and we're all in love with the food. You bite into a sandwich and these subtle flavors and textures kick in - ditto with the salads. (healthy Farmer's Market ingredients with additions like coconut chips and watermelon! Double yum!) Plus the staff and Chef Eddie himself (who's always onsite) are super friendly and warm. They have the best sliders ever - every little detail on every dish is perfect. This is food I'd be happy to pay $25.00 for, available for far less than half the price. Did I mention the Mac and Cheese? The security guard downstairs swears by the chilli dogs. Also very kid friendly - with a fantastic selection of local beer and wine for the grownups. You can't go wrong with Cross Burgers!

The crossburger is not to be confused with a normal hamburger; it's way better! They also serve regular burgers, a nice fried chicken sandwich, jerk chicken and a rockin chilli. This might be the best burger place in the East Bay? Service can be a bit slow and it's popular with the downtown lunch crowd so get there early or late if you want a table.
