Have not been in the Temescal Alley for years. My friend wanted some coffee and I already had my shot of espresso. I usually would just try a cup of coffee. Wanted something different.
Tried the Chai latte: creamy, frothy, tingling spice. Delicious!
Like what they did with small amount of space. Great customer service and staff was wearing masks.

Come for the alternative hip baristas who will serve you hair in your iced latte and an attitude when you point it out. Also very odd to enforce a mask mandate when customers are literally ordering outside and solely asked the two people of color to mask up when the 5 other white tech bros that came after us without masks pulled up with their barking dogs. Choices.

Come if you want to experience modern day racism by a white woman barista who is pleasant to all her white customers but raises her eyebrows at your questions about pastries and hands your order to you like it is dirty. Note: if you read all the lowest rated reviews on Google and Yelp you will notice a pattern of problematic behavior against POCs.

Excellent and refined place for high grade rocket fuel coffee in regular, and extra fancy selections.
The Indian female barista there is one of the best baristas I've ever seen, and made me her own signature drink called the Sixth dimension. Check it out!

Good coffee. At first, staff seemed unfriendly but after we broke the ice we ended up laughing and they turned out to be nice and friendly.

Excellent product, but I don't get the lack of courtesy in one particular barista. Being totally non-responsive to hello, how are you, and thank you is not cool, hip or professional. I don't need fake cheer, but surliness brings down the overall experience. Rudeness is passé. It feels unwelcoming, so I don't mind taking my business elsewhere.
