This is a unique urban style coffee house in Oakland and the coffee was actually awesome and there’s great outdoor patio seating where I think I got a sunburn in February which is pretty cool.

Decent service, good coffee. Ordered a cold brew and got it in a mason jar and a koozie.

Loved my visit. The barista was very welcoming and made good conversation, and gave me a 50¢ discount for bringing my reusable cup. I love their new paper-goods-free approach, offering to-go jars for 50¢ if you can't sit in. My white mocha "elixir" was delicious, though the espresso flavor is a lot lighter than I'm used to from other cafes. I appreciate it for not tasting burnt or bitter! Best part of my visit, however, was the 20 minutes spent on the breezy patio reading all the Perch staff's quips to bad reviews on Google Maps while enjoying my delicious white mocha.

Great pastries and food. Very kind staff and nice, open seating with lots of sunlight and views of Lake Merritt. Coffee is good if you like lighter less bold roasts, I wish I went for a specialty drink when I was there and not just the house coffee. Next time!

Amazing cold brew, best I’ve ever had. I’ve never had problems with the staff like people say, they are friendly and have even stopped to make conversation in the times I’ve stopped by. The caramel syrup is also really good. Seating can be sparse but it is a great place to study.

Great atmosphere. Artisan drinks. Lovely staff. The perfect place to go if you just want a cozy place to study or if you want to enjoy an exquisitely crafted café favorite to enjoy with friends. The uniqueness of their inventory far exceeds your basic Starbucks or Peet's. My only gripe would be how early they close

I used to come here for the open mics on Tuesdays, but I've been pretty busy so I don't go as much. Whoever is behind the counter is always really nice and worth a tip! The orange juice is really good (like really good). The sandwiches and baked goods are also pretty solid.

Always something interesting and new on the drink menu whether it be lavender or cardamon or matcha or orange. The pastries are solid, nothing that blows my mind away but it delivers what is promised. Personal favorite is the reasonably priced bagels with various toppings. Either cream cheese, jam, or PB, the bagels are always toasted and warm. Their to-go jars are pretty awesome, totally worth the 50 cents which you can get back if you return the jar. However the first time they gave me a to-go drink in the jar, the barista filled it up too much and it spilled when I opened it... not the jar's fault! They do have a restroom but I always have trouble with opening the door which is a minor blip in an otherwise pleasant experience. Very bright and welcoming with the big windows and little bouquets placed around the cafe. There is WiFi available for patrons plus various types and heights of tables and chairs which is perfect for studying or working or just chilling. Pink drink: Probably my favorite here. Sweet and refreshing, perfect strawberry flavor. While the whole strawberries add to the aesthetic of the drink, however, they're a bit sour and not very good. Could do without. Thunderbolt: Veeery interesting combo of sweetened lemonade and cold brew. It took a bit of thought to figure out whether I liked it or not, but ultimately, I think I do. The lemonade is a bit too sweet for my taste, but I do agree that some sweetness is needed to marry these two flavors together. I would definitely go for it again if I'm in the mood. It was refreshing and new. Probably shouldn't go for it if you have an upset stomach though! Acidity + coffee is a bit of a tummy twister. Iced lemonade with green tea: Not great. Did not get the tea flavor at all and personally, I find the house lemonade on its own (which it basically was in this mixture) to be unpleasantly sweet. Clove latte: Interesting and generally alright. Not too overpowering with the spices and surprisingly refreshing. I wish the latte itself was richer and more flavorful, I think it would have enhanced the clove more. It has a similar vibe to a chai latte.
