Hidden in plain sight in Jack London Square, this restaurant has an elegant wood heavy interior, playing more contemporary music (not your typical Italian restaurant vibe). There was one waitress for the whole place it seemed like, who only brought out bread and water, and never came back until the main dish came. On that note, they were very slow to get food out. Once the food arrived, things got much better. The polenta was good, and the pizza was excellent. The food here is the redeeming quality, making up for the spotty service.

I'm still in the middle of dinner and already compelled to write a review... Not sure if I'm in Oakland or Italy. Fabio is phenomenal, the roman chef is amazing, the food is tender and authentic, and the atmosphere is outstanding. I enjoyed it so much I had to write my first review!

An Italian comfort food gem in Jack London square. My favorites: torta fritta (wow!), housemade potato gnocchi. The chef Pabio is super friendly.
