Orchids Thai

This newly renovated place is so warm and cozy. The food was impeccable. Absolute value for money. We ordered fresh rolls, pad Kee mao and green curry. Green curry has to be one of the best we have tried. The staff is so warm and welcoming. We will definitely be returning to this place. Highly recommend it

I ordered few staple dishes so i can fairly compare to other local Thai places. I liked the service, there was no wait. I ordered shrimp basil fried rice, chicken pad thai, bbq pork and yellow chicken curry. The basil rice was delicious with a kick. The curry and pad thai were also very good. The bbq pork did not have the grilled flavor i was looking for, it was thick cut, and looked like it was cooked by boiling with some grilled marks. It was very pale and it was in the dry side. I loved the smaller lunch portions - the whole thing with a beer was $54, pretty good. I would go there again

Well this is definitely the best Thai food I have had in the Bay Area. And I really love the place across the street from my house. But the flavors here are just incredible. I mean everything I ate was amazingly ridiculously delicious. The mango avocado and prawn salad has such a tasty dressing. The red curry with duck was just so yummy. And normally I load my plate up with spicy stuff all the spicy sides here I didn't even glance at them the food was so dadgum good eat there you'll enjoy it the staff is awesome

This is the first time I try Orchids Thai's food. And it was so good!! Ordered takeout, but hope to someday go eat inside, the place looks so cute! I would for sure recommend their Spicy Wings, the sauce that the wings are dipped in is really good! The Crispy Tofu order is so good with the sauce that comes with the order. Panang Currry so good, and I ordered it with a side of Jasmine Rice. Good Thai Tea. ^_^

Stumbled on them just as they were closing at 3 in the afternoon setting up for dinner. Graciously let me in and fed me a wonderful Garlic Pork with steamed rice. Tastes were wonderful, presentation excellent, portion just right for me. Veggies cooked just enough to bring up their color and leave them nice and crunchy. Port was tender, lean, and had good flavor. One cool thing is their receipt has a handy 'tip guide' at the bottom. Nice touch for those of us that are %-math challenged.

So on this day my dad and his girlfriend picked me up for a early dinner. The other Thai restaurant a few blocks down was closed so we decided to check out Orchids. I am pleased to announce that we made a wonderful and delicious choice. The atmosphere inside Orchids was clean and very spacious. Staff was kind and welcoming. There was only a couple of other tables with diners and we were seated in a nice cozy corner table right near the kitchen. It was past 3pm when the lunch special ends but the staff was kind enough to let us choose from the lunch menu nonetheless. We began with some refreshing ice cold water as we went through the menu to select our items. We ordered A green sesame ginger salad that was bursting with fresh delicious flavors and not overpowering at all. I even used the dressing to pour over my jasmine rice which had some hints of lemongrass and cilantro that added so nicely to the rice. We followed up with a order of the Tom Kha coconut soup with chicken. Very fresh and delicious flavors. For our main entree we ordered the hot chili green beans dish with chicken. It had lemongrass, young bell peppers bell peppers, bamboo shoots, and lemongrass. Everything went so well with each other and we had a very pleasant dining experience. The Thai Ice Tea was also on point. Orchids Thai restaurant is definitely a place i will be dining at again with friends family and even a date. They changed owners after forever. Used to be Lotus Thai. I am a creature of habit and really liked the previous place. I was pleasantly surprised when the Yellow Curry was just as good. Maybe a tad tastier. Vegetables crispy but not crunchy, just how I like them. The presentation was even better. It used to come with a cucumber salad though that was delicious so I'll have to look for it next time. I'm craving it right now actually, let's see what kind of delivery they do...
