A well known downtown Oakland kitschy cocktail bar. Great ambience and vibe. Get there early if you want to sit down. The signature drink is the Greyhound. Be careful not to drink too many and expect to walk unassisted from the bar 🥴

Best bar in town only for the greyhounds. Theres a smoking section outside so may not be a place for everyone. The restroom is at one toilet, so it can get cramped on a busy night with live music. Best time to go when it's the weekday, easy to grab a drink.

5 stars for what it is. If you havnt been it's a must see. If you're afraid of the dark and dank go ahead and head on to a nice clean hipster joint. An Oakland legend. Not too lowbrow for an ex mayor.

One of the first to root in uptown and one of the few still standing during this pandemic. Classic. Known for their greyhounds. Now with outdoor seating. Can phone in a food order from the (filipino?) restaurant across the street to be delivered to your table to go along with your greyhound.

Always delighted to visit cafe Van Kleef! It's a neighborhood staple. Consistently fresh and delicious greyhounds, fabulous and friendly staff, great knick knacks to oogle at, and a friendly environment that conjurs convos with strangers who become friends.

Such a fun environment. Friendly staff and strong drinks. They are known for their grapefruit and vodka drinks. I'd definitely go back.

This place is known for their greyhounds and it's easy to see why. Fresh squeezed juice that's like sunshine in glass. Often it's a bit too crowded for my liking, but come early and you have the place to yourself.
