Excellent coffee. While you get your standard caffeine fixes from mocha to espresso, the hidden gems are the single-origin pour overs. Conveniently located next to Rockridge Bart station, this tiny coffee shop has free Wifi and space for seating around 12. Their coffee roaster gets the finest beans from South America, Africa and wherever fine coffee is grown. They do a great job of providing tasting notes on their pour overs, which for a chance was fairly accurate. Cola flavor, mineral feel. If you appreciate gourmet coffee, you will love the flavors they brew here.

Bica has the best espresso, pressed coffee and tea in the Bay Area. The staff is super-cool and the atmosphere is casual and fun. If you really love coffee, ditch that junk you're getting from other joints and come here. You won't be disappointed. Great pastries from local bakers and sandwiches, too...

One of the best coffee shops in the Bay. I am sometimes overwhelmed by the noise, but the coffee keeps me coming back. Whether it's a cup or a bag of beans, this probably my favourite shop for the quality of coffee (and diverse range with 5 different companies and regions often on their pour over board).
