This place is worth going to. The wine limited wine selection they have was chosen very well so that's a plus. The staff was friendly. The ambiance is decent. The food menu is OK but not exceptional. We had a few items including the baked brie which was dreadful and oh so disappointing. All that said we would go back with limited expectations.

This place is one of my favorites on College Ave. Pricey! But fun. The wine is expensive, but it's all really good wine, so that's cool. You get what you pay for. In any case, I enjoy coming here . I love getting a flight and a snack. I would go here with date or a group of friends and either would be totally comfortable. Very knowledgeable staff (always). That's a major plus.

Really enjoy bringing people here. The wine flights change every month so there's always a reason to keep coming back. They only serve small plates, but that works out if you only want appetizes or if a small group of you would like to share (which the staff encourage). The baked brie in honey is served in a very hot dish that will easily burn you, so be extra careful!

I came in late towards the end of the night. The food menus were gone and they were cleaning the kitchen. I asked if they had food and was told yes we were cleaning up but we can make you something. That alone is big because I know what it's like to serve people and didn't want to put them out, but I never felt that way. The baked brie was excellent. I asked the server for a spicy wine and the response was I know... And she was right. More importantly I overheard her dwelling over a poor review from earlier in the day that sounded baseless. The fact that she took it so to heart tells me this is a solid spot with a caring staff. If I lived here I would frequent.

I really wasn't very impressed with this experience. I went on Valentine's weekend and we were among the first to be seated for dinner that night. Our waitress seemed like she thought being helpful was beneath her for most of the night and declined to tell us that they did not have one of the entrées at all that night. I don't really think that it's acceptable to be completely out of an entree at the beginning of a Saturday night on a holiday weekend. Keep in mind that the menu is quite small so this was one of the few options that met our dietary needs. The portions are quite small and quite expensive. I think for the stuffed dates we literally got three. I would expect superior service at this price and it just wasn't there. Very very small location.

Carolyn at the Barrel Room has a great palate and carefully curates the wine selection. What I like most is their wine flights - three generous pours tied together by a theme, usually geographic.

Good wines, can be pricey by the glass, but their happy hour never disappoints with sizeable pours for $6 (and $5 beers). Food is good, but on the pricey side ($18 for a flatbread, for example).

Nice relaxed venue with a good wine selection and happy hour 3 to 6 pm $6 wine and $5 beers. Menu looks intriguing as well for a small bite.
