Outstanding if your tastes run to spicy Indian food. The tandoori chicken and lamb are really good, yet it's easy to do without meat, with an array of rice bowls, wraps, dosas, and lunch salads, many based on potato, prawns, or cheese.
A very cheery vibe from the wait staff and from the beautiful space, with super-high ceilings and lots of clearance between tables. There's a simplicity to the operation that places comfort over fuss.
Probably the most delicious Indian food I've had in the bay area my whole life..
Very chic spot. Came here with some coworkers on a Thursday for some cocktails. Really enjoyed the open space, fresh atmosphere, and quick service. Conveniently located next to another few restaurants, other bars, and walking distance from the brand new Hive apartments in Oakland. Definitely come in for a quick bite and a drink. A little on the pricier side but that's because it's in a nicer area.
Yum. Really love this place. All the deliciousness of Dosa mothership with none of the fanfare. Super allergy friendly making it a great place for groups. Nice and spacious layout. Favorites for me are the tofu scramble dosa and the savory pongal. The staff were awesome and helpful. I hope these start showing up in more neighborhoods.
Yum yum yum. Yum yum yum. This place was wonderful. Such tasty food and great service. The location and decor is fabulous and I can't wait to go back. We ordered way too much food but loved trying different items and flavors.
The most delicious dosa I have had in bay area so far.
They have different varieties of dosa, we tried paper masala dosa, chilli garlic dosa and some other with aam chutney.
All 3 were outstanding.
The tamarind masala lassi was also really tasty.
Ambienece was very good, food taste was decent. It is different taste than traditional indian dosa. More Americanized flavors, ingredients. Lassi was on bit sour side.
Different kind of Dosa’s not usually found in other places. Tried the mango and paneer one and liked them both. The fried idli is also very good. The ambience is really cool. Street parking is available around the area.
They have a fabulous interior which is unlike any typical Indian food outlet you will find. With a mix of Western taste in the food and ambiance, this place won my heart. They have some good fusion eating options. But the Sambhar lacked authentic taste which is a big down grade towards the main theme of the restaurant. Otherwise you will find the food good enough.
Fast Service Restaurant offering excellent Indian dosa. The stuffed ones are generous and hard to finished. The masala potato one is crispy and massive. I also liked the tandoori lamb kebab and tandoori chicken. The chutneys were not great. Staff is super friendly.
