I would highly recommend trying Umberto’s when your at Myrtle Beach. It is conviently located at Barafoot Landing. It is family style sharing before your Entree. On the menu there is Italian, Seafood, Pork Chops, Steaks, Lamb Chops etc. the portion sizes are huge! They even have a kids menu. I would recommend making reservations ahead of time.
We had a party of 13. Our server was wonderful. She did not skip a beat! A little pricy but the food is good and the portions generous. Also family friendly. Fried calamari appetizer some of the best I have ever had.
Amazing food at decent rates. All dishes include Beans & Greens, Cucumber & Tomato salad, Spaghetti with sauce, as well as bread and butter. Steak Scampi was properly cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the Veal was well prepared.
We ate at Umbertos tonight. It was fabulous! Food was outstanding.Waiter Chad took excellent care of us! It was our first time eating here....we will definately return!
We love this place! Always enjoy eating here! It can get pretty crowded and loud cause of all the damn tourists but the food and service is always A+ and they have some of the best vodka rigatoni I've ever eaten. Highly recommend.
This is my favorite Italian place in Myrtle Beach. Coming from New York, we were reluctant to eat Italian food because we have so many options back home, but this place did not disappoint. The service is great. Our servers have always been incredibly friendly and attentive. Excellent gluten-free options, as we recently discovered, because one person in our group requires those options. The greens and beans are second to none. I recommend either the strip steak or the lamb. Many people also raved about the Antonio dishes. One of the best places to eat in Barefoot landing for sure!!
Went here on recommendation from a friend. My wife made the reservations. The portion size was unreal. I could not eat half of my main course. This is a definite must try restaurant. As you can tell from my photos
As native Pittsburghers vacationing in Myrtle, Beach, Umberto’s restaurant at barefoot Landing is an automatic night out for us. Even without the classic nod to Pittsburgh adorning the walls, the food brings us back time after time. Be careful when you order your entrées and especially appetizers, because there is a whole lot of food that will be coming with them. Don’t fill up on bread, but do you order the roasted garlic bulbs to go with it. You will also get (family style) beans and greens, a cucumber, tomato, and onion salad, and angel hair pasta after your appetizer and before your entree.
We ate at Umberto's as our anniversary get-away dinner. There was a large (and loud) seating area. We were able to readily get reservations with less than 24 hours notice. John our server was great. My wife and I shared a Chicken Pacata dinner. There was a $9 charge for sharing. It was well worth it since the food was good and plentiful. We don't have large appetites so, we couldn't eat all the food. Overall, a good experience but don't expect a quiet romantic dinner. It's a happy family restaurant. And with that comes loud conversations. 😀
We enjoy the family style salads and bread at the beginning, and the food is good. Atmosphere perfect for family dinners with sort of an Italian house vibe, in that it’s a bit loud with talking at tables that are close to one another. (I wouldn’t do a romantic date night here.) There’s at least one vegetarian pasta choice, but not much of a veggie selection.
Absolutely the best meal I have had in a long time! Can't wait to go back!
Update: Went back tonight, just as good as the first time! The only complaint I have is the place was packed and it was sooooo loud, my husband and I really couldn't talk and hear each other. But the food was worth it!!
We had a very nice meal. Service was quick and very friendly. The pork chops are huge and the servings plentiful. We would definitely come back again.
