Wow! The crab and shrimp omelette was beyond amazing! It was rich and creamy with an abundance of fresh seafood and just enough old bay flavor. And the waffles .....omg they were both breakfast and dessert full of yummy goodness! The staff was incredibly friendly including our waitress Paula B.! She was not only attentive, she made us feel like family! We will definitely be back for more!

While visiting Myrtle Beach we went to brunch here and I was very thankful we did. The staff were amazing! So friendly and prompt with their service. The red velvet waffle I ordered was DELICIOUS! I loved it and I look forward to another one next time I visit. It’s nice and clean and so are the restrooms. My sister said she enjoyed the coffee it was strong. My children also enjoyed their pancakes. Lord willing I’ll be back again!
OH MAN!! If y’all don’t stop and try this place out for breakfast/brunch/lunch, you are truly missing out!! It was absolutely delicious!!! There are so many unique dishes to choose from! It was hard to choose! Both my husband and I had the sausage gravy(he got the biscuits and gravy and I had a side) and when they say it’s made in house, you can absolutely tell! It was freaking delicious!!!!! The twisted chicken and waffles were so good as well! It was a Belgian waffle with bacon in it! I was so full I couldn’t even finish it unfortunately. But the chicken was so hot and it was just perfectly, lightly breaded and still juicy as well. And I also had the Spiked Freckled Lemonade too. Our server, Sarah, was very nice and very quick as well. Next time we come to Myrtle, we will definitely be coming back to Johnny D’s!!!
This food was absolutely delicious! My husband got the cinnamon roll waffle, and I think it was love at first bite! I had the Irish skillet which was absolutely amazing. It's a lot of food but so tasty with corned beef hash, potatoes, cheese, eggs and hollandaise sauce! This place is worth the stop and any wait time! I had a hard time deciding on what to get because there are so many yummy looking options. The food arrived quickly, and the staff all looked like a well-oiled machine working together. You can see into the kitchen as they cook and they are hustling!
OMG!!! GREAT place. I had the cinnamon roll waffle and I swear it was one of the top 3 BEST waffles I've EVER had. The service was EXCEPTIONAL. The atmosphere was great for a family breakfast restaurant. The location is ideal. The Shambled eggs with cheese just okay and average. But everything else was so good, they over overshadowed the eggs. I would HIGHLY recommend this place, and will visit again.
We had a great breakfast at Johnny D's. The menu is full of hard decisions! Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We will for sure be back to sample more of the menu. We had the Churro French Toast and the Triple Threat and a pancake shooter. It does in fact taste like a pancake breakfast!
My besties and I was on this fabulous vacation in Myrtle Beach. We stumbled upon this wonderful family owned restaurant Johnny D"s. We had a super nice server named Shelby. I had this delicious shrimp and crab omelet. My friends had a variety of dishes from waffles to pancakes and everyone raved about their food. The restaurant was clean, family oriented and tourist friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and your looking for fun restaurant with amazing food. FYI they close earlier than the average restaurant. Thumbs up!! 💯
Johnny D’s Waffles and Benedict’s is a solid place for a classic American brunch. The menu is clear and easy to read. There are lots of options on the menu and service is great. The interior of the restaurant is well lit and clean and there is even a little area to shop for souvenirs. Would recommend!

WOW! What a great spot to stumble upon. We enjoyed so much, we came back another day. We liked the meals and service from the staff. Everything was great. Grits were made nicely and I had to try their signature Velvet Waffle. Made to perfection! The Churros French Toast was amazing! They do have turkey sausage links for folks who don't eat pork.
The Funfetti waffles are amazing. I got the waffle platter and subbed in a specialty waffle for a small up charge. Would recommend to do the same. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. This places serves a lot of specialty waffles and French toast so you won’t run out of new things to try for a while. There a quite a lot of parking spaces, but this is a popular restaurant so they are always full. Also expect to wait a little bit for your table too.
10/10 the Chicken & waffles has bacon in the waffles!!! Our server was so nice, we sat at the bar & the lady doing the post cook prep with butter & powdered sugar & syrup was killing it. As a party of 2 we got in quick - will be back soon there were like 17 more things I wanted to order.
