This is the best pizza I’ve had in the area including Philadelphia. The bread is homemade and has the chewy crunchy texture that I’m looking for in good pizza. The sauce, cheese, and toppings ratio is perfect. The front desk where you place you order is very pleasant as well. I wish I could find good pizza like this in Upper Darby.
Traveled from Pottstown to Charlie's pizza ...40 min...for this wonderful pie. Probably past 10 pizza shops on the way... Well worth it
My husband loves this place! Every time I go to Norristown he wants Charlie's. He swears by their red top pepperoni pizza. They were making the pie when I came in. I had to wait for a few minutes for them to finish it. They were making cheese & I wanted pepperoni. He pulled the pie out the oven added the pepperoni & put it back in to finish cooking. My husband was a happy camper tonight!
WOW! It was my first time ordering from Charlie's. Their red top pie is absolutely amazing! The sauce and cheese both have great flavor. Will definitely order from them again in the future. This is going to be my new go to place!

Signage gone, phone disconnected re-opening just a hopeful dream for that ORIGINAL red top pizza for about 60 years that generations have enjoyed and supported !!!
We drive from NE Philadelphia to eat their Pizza. We used to work near during the summer months in the 80's and 90's. My children now grown, still remember. Every now and then we drive up from Philly for a family outing. Worth the drive. Great atmosphere , cold beer and AWESOME PIZZA!!
I moved to Philadelphia a few months ago. My boyfriend and I tried a LOT of pizza places. NONE of them compared to Charlie's. Seriously. Either their sauce was too garlicky, too sweet, there was hardly any sauce, the cheese wasn't right.. Charlie's has been making the tastiest pizza since I was a kid. My family always stopped by here whenever we were in the area. Now I am only here sometimes to do laundry, but my mom got a slice when we were there the other day and I had a bite and it was just like I remembered! A+ MY FAVORITE PIZZA IN THE UNITED STATES.
I have been eating red top with mushrooms since I was a little girl. It’s consistent and delicious and by far, the BEST pizza in Montgomery county. These other places have nothing on Charlie’s. I’m 57 years old. Just to show you that’s how long this pizza has been around.
