me my cousin and a couple old friends ate here late one night after visiting the old us 27 bridge at camp nelson it was cold rainy and 930 the food was hot and fresh and they offered to make what ever we wanted but we declined with such a large selection of great food we didnt feel it was needed to put them ouy like that also with our friends picky pallets we thought thier may be a problem but everyone was well satisfied and we were all so tired we feel asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow but we talked about the food for days cant wait to go back when its completly full and just opening cause if it was that hot fresh and tasty at 930 pm i cant imageine the flavor at opening
Slightly better than most Chinese buffets - and less expensive. Plenty of options, including sushi. Kids like the ice cream machine and the fishy pond.

Very good buffet. There are several great Chinese restaurants in the BlueGrass, but, unlike other urban areas, very few Chinese buffets. Ichiban may not be the kind of mega buffet many people have visited, but it is a quality mid-size Chinese buffet. It is a fine choice if you are good at choosing the best items by their appearance. Many of the traditional buffet items are delicious, but a few appear dry or not as appetizing. General Tso's chicken has a better than average sauce, the spring rolls are delicious, and even the crab Rangoon's are tasty. However some of the crab and fish dishes simply look unappetizing. A bright spot is the sushi, while it has mostly standard buffet varieties - they are well made, fresh tasting, and in an area known for high prices - an incredible bargain. Overall it is an excellent place to find some of your oriental favorites, well prepared and very tasty.
From a value standpoint it is very hard to beat. Three adults ate dinner for $34. There were no crab legs, but that was certainly understandable at the price.
Awesome Buffett. I liked it especially for the sushi. They can make whatever sushi you want at no extra charge. They also have a hibachi grill. Crab legs extra charge.
Amazing quality for the price. Nicholasville has always been a small town, and most of the time, if one wanted to go out they would have to head to the nearby town of Lexington. Ichiban changes that, the price of the buffet is only around 7.50 (10.00 on sundays) this gives access to unlimited food which includes sushi, steak, noodles, and tons of other goodies. the cuisine isnt 5 star, but for the price that you are paying, there are not many options as good as this.

Ichiban is an Asian oasis in a small Southern town. The quality of food is comparable to that of the best dining establishments In New York City, but with more reasonable prices and friendly service. If you're in the Lexington area for business or pleasure, I'd recommend the trek to Nicholasville for this Far Eastern treat.
Great Upgrade. The Chinese restaurant that was in place before Ichiban, was a very friendly, and yummy restaurant and I was sad to see it go..although....Ichiban Buffet was a very exciting and yummy surprise! It has all the favorite of a Chinese buffet but with the excitement of having the grill! Sushi is amazing, and the service is great!! Prices, perfect!! Totally pleased.
Unexpectedly Delicious. Tucked away in a nearly abandoned shopping center in the small town of Nicholasville, Ichiban Buffet is a delightful treat. The food is delicious, the price is good and the Sushi is amazing. If you're ever in Nicholasville and looking for some Eastern cuisine, check it out.

My husband and I moved here in November, we discovered this restaurant about a little over a month ago, and every visit we have really loved our food.. and since than have been bringing our friends.
This is a comfort food place for my family. We reserve a section almost every year for our holiday dinner. I always bee line to the sushi bar! Everyone who works there are kind and patient. Apologies, for how loud we can get when we all congregate! Thank you for making our time together memorable, delicious and truly special!
The food was fresh and hot!! Lots of options and choices to pick from- the service was friendly and helpful and someone was cleaning throughout while we were there!!! Would recommend and will definitely be back

My kids & I love this place. Great food and love the service. Always nice and our youngest daughter loves to feed the fish when we go. Not bad on the price either.
