Great local sushi restaurant! The ambiance is intimate and the staff is highly attentive. We started with getting the jalapeño yellowtail (spicy and great), sushi pizza (amazing), and the tempura shitake (good). We then got the $150 sushi boat with chefs choice. They also have $100 and $120 versions. Everyone agreed the boat was a lot of fun and delicious, and filled everyone up. We had 5 people. Great choice for a group. We ended the meal with a mix of the green tea and mango mochis, which were good as always. Definitely try out Ota Ya if you're looking for a new local sushi place around Newtown / Yardley!
An absolute amazing place. We have been coming here for 10+ years and the food has gotten better and better. The fact that the owners know you by name and know what you want is just amazing.
Get sushi. Any kind of sushi here is super fresh and tasty. Pickled ginger side is great.
Seaweed salad is amazing, and I’ve tried eel roll, which was good as well!
Ota-Ya is always excellent. Cindy and Marina always take great care of us. We take our friends there and it becomes their favorite Sushi Restaurant.
AWESOME!!!!! This service was top notch! The sushi, and sashimi were both very fresh and tasty. Some of the best sushi and sashimi I've had in the Eastern U.S. Comparably to sushi you get on the West Coast. If you have any questions, they're more than happy to accommodate you. Don't know what you want, ask they're glad to make suggestions.
Been going to this oasis in Newtown for a few years now. The owner Marina is as nice as they come. Always friendly. Always accommodating. Their sushi is first class. But the rare jewels are what is not on the menu. Ask Marina for her recommendations and be prepared to be blown away. First class service and food. Highly recommend.

Our first visit and boy were we blown away! My son got ramen that he described as “in my top 5”!!! My crab Rangoon was delicious as well as my freshly made California roll.
This is hands down one of the best Sushi restaurants. They are a bit pricy but have the best spicy tuna with crunch sauce out of any place I’ve been. This includes Florida and other states. It’s a BYOB and I would suggest getting there before 6:30 on weekends. It gets very loud and hard to get seats afterwards.
Located in a small strip center slightly off the main drag, you'll find a delightful sushi restaurant with Japanese attention to detail. We had sashimi and uni. Our server wanted to be sure the uni was fresh and... It was sweet and delicious as was the sashimi. Easy to find,but of the main thoroughfare. If you want sushi and you're in the area, stop here and enjoy.
