Atmosphere is fantastic and service was spectacular. The wine and food was also great.l! I absolutely recommend coming here.
They have done a good job with setting up and promoting their business. Personally I like a wine tasting room where you can relax, sit and have a conversation.
However, this is a wine tasting room not in a vineyard, but in the middle of millions of people, and with the Groupon deal that never ends the place is noisy, busy and there is no place to sit. We joined the wine club, but the room for members is not any different.
My membership dates back to early 2014. Since then I have posted reviews on establishments ranging from Montreal to Cali, Colombia, but OCW is one of my few "must go back" establishments.
As they have grown over the last 5 years, they have lost things and gained things. As early-ish members it was really fun to be part of a very small group, but there was also minimal room if it was crowded. When I first started going I knew every team member by name, now there are lots of new faces but never an empty glass.
What they never lost was their vibe, and they never will.
Go for the wine and stay for the people, or go for the people and stay for the wine, just go.
It was great to be able to go and sample some the wines again. We were surprise to have had Robert serve us. He was the one who got us started in the Wine club. He is so good in explaing the wines and when to or what to have with it.
We hope to be able to have appetizer soon again to enjoy with the tastings
A gem hidden in Newport Beach! A little hard to find in an unexpected venue, but wow, what a great place! All of the wines surpassed expectations along with the size of the wine tasting menu. As others have mentioned, the cheese platter was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The only drawback was that service was slow during our visit, however, understandable since it was busy and only one person was working the bar area we were seated at. He was very friendly and informative during our visit. All in all, we're looking forward to our return.
First wine tasting experience and it was surprisingly fun. Our host was very delightful and tentative and made our experience even better. She offered her expertise and navigated our wine selections to best suit are individual preferences and tastes. Our group cashed in a Group-on voucher which offered 6 glasses to taste including a cheese platter. Overall we had a great time and look forward to going back in the future. Thanks OCW!
Robert is the best in the industry. The wine is phenomenal. You couldn't spend a better day than here.
My husband and I tried this winery after purchasing a groupon. Relaxed and inviting atmosphere. We enjoyed the cheese platter while exploring the wine selection. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Thank you to Vanessa for serving us and explaining the 5 S's of wine tasting! We will definitely sip and savor the delicious wines we purchased!
Very nice wine, experiance and unique wine gift items. Chaz was great....will return to this winery.
I visited Orange Coast Winery for the first time yesterday. The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming, the range of wine is diverse and tasty, and the service we received from Jack was top quality. If all the other tasting guides are as passionate and knowledgeable as Jack was for us then you will have a great time here.
