What can I say about a small little island market. So I have shopped here 20 times in my life. It's an old market and they have a little of everything. I've never had anyone rude to me, never purchase anything that wasn't good and I really don't have one single complain about this place. The Balboa ferry is just outside the front door of this place so when you're going across the bay and you feel the urge for something to snack on or maybe something cold to drink please stop by and support this market. They offer good service and they have the products and I'm assuming tourism has been down with the pandemic so maybe when you're walking by going to buy a bottle of water and support the local guy. Oh and the burgers are really good. I’m not sure if it’s a separate business or if the one business is actually two different businesses owned by the same person or what but there’s a burger joint attached to the market and it’s super yummy.

Great place to go for about anything from a small market. You don't see many markets around the water especially on the boardwalk. So it a very good place to go if you don't want to grab your keys and drive out to find a market . Just stay in your comfort zone and walk on in . Very convenient place to shop . Nicolas likes meeting all kinds of his furry friends to sniff , and bark at.

Gentlemen was very nice. They will not give cash back but they have an ATM that charges 3.50 service fee if you need cash for the ferry.

Went in to grab some quick beer and food before hopping on the Balboa Ferry. Was not disappointed. Was expecting it to be much smaller and overpriced but boy was I wrong! Much bigger than you’d think and also a great selection of food and beverages. Extremely reasonably priced! The opposite of what you’d think given its location. Extremely fast checkout as well and the staff was very friendly—all smiles. Was literally in and out—and I don’t mean the burger chain. If ever in need and by the ferry or in the area, definitely recommend! Oh and some cool art on the outside as well!

I love the new Balboa Market & Grill; not only is the food at the grill excellent, (burritos are the bomb with authentic tortillas), but the store has lots of great grocery items, alcohol selections and beach items. It is an ideal stop before or after taking the ferry!!

everything is so fresh and so cheap! fantastic selection of fruit, vegetables, and fresh herbs. they've also got a great selection of harder to find specific produce.
